Shot creation to what? Bricking shot after shot?

He's doing offensive moves, which sure, is a +, but it's meaningless if he keeps bricking everything. Give me back the elite off-ball sniper if 2-13 is the result of him adding "offensive moves"

I get it, 7 games in, small sample, blah blah. But the Huerter-HB-Keegan wing trio that was so damn good last year has mostly been so damn bad this season.

Man, I’m not sure where the disconnect is here because I didn’t say that the Blazers are particularly good or anything. The Blazers just aren’t gonna be tanking when four fifths of their starters are vet roleplayer dudes busting their asses to get moved to a contender and their coach is trying to not get permanently banned from the league for his teams sucking.

I have to disagree with you. To my eye test, he looks really uncomfortable having to take the ball off the dribble. He's not getting to his usual mid-range spots that we saw last season. He's playing like he's not confident in his ball handling and we're seeing weird abrupt stops in his dribble. He missed that bunny around the rim, but I think he's having some issue that go beyond shots just not falling.

Keegan is better than this obviously. I still think if he can keep up some of this 3 and D, if Monte can nab a great 2nd option perhaps an even more important part of the puzzle is filled with Keegan being just that.

You could say the same thing at this time last year about the Rockets. Every team thinks they can win, but as constructed there’s a reason Trailblazers are projected to be a bottom 3 team. Front office is tanking but gave Billups the illusion of some pieces that could pull together some wins… but still maintain that high lottery position

Have to see where his defense goes. If Keegan can actually defend on the wing and splash 3's then that actually probably is worth a 4th pick with how teams value that position. No, not what they expected, but one of those things that could still work out fine.

Well at least there is still some value in being a 4th option on a good team especially if he continues to improve defensively, so it's not all for nothing. I just don't see him getting better with shot creation.

Keegan is rushing his shots. Shooting 3s while drifting. Needs to take set shots when it's there.

The team may have put too much on him too fast. It's the same pressure the franchise was putting on their draft picks to be saviors in the past.

Keegan has led two successful fast breaks and made a couple strong defensive plays this quarter. Shot isn’t falling for crap but he is contributing somehow
