To me this game buys some time to get this team right. They played good enough against a below .500 team without it's best player to get the win. They have to play much better on the upcoming road trip.
I liked the HB "outburst," but am inclined to believe it has more to do with the long rest than a reorientation in the offense. We'll see how he does on the road trip.
Fox is doing his best at giving minimal acceptable effort. He's passive, slow (how many times did he blow by anybody or lead a fast break?), disengaged, defensively lazy, and certainly not leading in the area of competitive spirit. Spiritually speaking, he's on the periphery of this team, taking on the persona of a detached observer rather than a centrally involved participant. I was hoping that the long rest would give him a new lease on life, but instead he's renewed his contract with a mopey cheerlessness that's been going on for over three weeks. Unless he snaps out of it, this road trip could get ugly.
