[Game] Kings v. Rockets - Dec. 15, 2013 - 3 p.m. PST

If I was following this game solely by reading this thread, I swear I'd think we were losing instead of conducting ourselves quite nicely against a top tier team. I guess I'm the only one very satisfied with what's gone on thus far.

The knee-jerk reaction to instant negativety, is almost uncanny. LOL

Absolutely love how JT and Rudy picked IT up. Clearly looked as though they could have flung him into the rafters had they so chosen. :)

I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!

Kings did a nice job to finish that half out with a decent lead. Hou started making a run with like 3mins left and it looked like the Kings 10pt lead was going to be completely gone by halftime

Acy comes in for Trout.

Reggie is obviously a better defender and better on the glass. In all the times I've seen him play however I've never seen him show the ability to put the ball on the floor, spin, then finish softly with his left. Reggie has never shown that offensive talent. Now it's incredibly early, but that's also why I said he looks more talented rather than is more talented.

But I also read through some Tor forums/blogs after the trade and the comparison had been made multiple times, a more talented or skilled Reggie Evans. I don't blindly believe that but that move and finish showed evidence of what I've read.
To be fair, I probably place a much higher premium on defense and rebounding, while simultaneously giving much less of a **** about offense than the average Kings Fan.

Cannot ask for a much better first half. Harden going off was expected, but holding the Rockets under 50 in a half is outstanding. Offense and passing is much improved from when in PHX.

If we get that big #15 guy going, we'll be in great shape

At halftime JT has the worst +/- on the team and Derrick Williams has the best +/- on the team, wasn't this also the case in Phoenix friday?

Cousins still needs to get his mojo back. He looks heavier or more ground bound than the start of the season. His defensive effort has fallen off and his half-court movement has been lacking. He just looks tired and he's compensating by forcing bad shots when he does get the ball.

Ben has played decent defense against Harden and Harden has come through and hit some tough shots.
One of the issues I'm seeing is that Ben is the guy they are bringing to double on Dwight leaving Harden wide open on the perimeter. So far Harden has missed all of the open shots that he's taken, but sooner or later he is going to start hitting those shots.
Also, towards the end of the half Ben just died on a Howard screen which let Harden get right to the rim. Very next possession Houston runs the same play, but Ben is aware of the coming pick and plays it perfectly...unfortunately Harden ends up hitting the long 3...but I'll take Harden attempting long 3s rather than easy runs right to the rim.
