That's what I thought but maybe the cut was bigger than we think. I saw WCS heading down the tunnel with an animated look of despair on his face. I'd like him to play but it's not my finger.
I would think so - just three stitches, but I'd think dribbling and shooting would tear them.

I sense our guys taking out their frustration from the double OT loss on the lakers and blow them out. I hope Vivek doesn't try to do some over the top farewell gesture for kobe. He doesn't really deserve to get treated like royalty at every city. Just because he is playing nice guy this season doesn't make him one.

The Kirk Gibson HR against the A's in the world series hurt. So did the Roger Craig Fumble that kept the 49ers from the chance at 3 straight Super Bowls. But that series against the Lakers, that hurts my soul. Still does all these years later.
If I was at the game tonight i would begrudgingly clap as kobe was introduced but that would instantly carry into booing him the entire game.

I think when Kobe is introduced everyone should stand up and then boo. They should continue to boo him throughout the game like they normally do. When he leaves the game for the final time, everyone should stand and clap. When he turns it acknowledges the crowd, everyone should then boo again.

I think my ire towards the man has faded with our team's relevancy. I hated him in The Golden Era.... Still dislike him (and the Lakers), but you have to give one of the greats his props. I'll always miss rooting against that guy.

I'm not as forgiving as some of you. The way we were treated so badly by the refs that series combined with all the superstar calls that kobe got in his career is just sickening. I give Kobe credit for 4 rings and he even got lucky that last Boston series when Perkins went down.

Grant is pretty bent that he and jerry got bumped for the TNT crew.
I don't care for grant but I don't blame him. This is the last Laker game at "Arco". There is some serious history between these teams in this building and it really sucks that I don't get to hear from grant and jerry during tonights game.

I respect Kobe the basketball player, but I won't pretend to like Kobe the person. I think for all his "holiness" he has whined and complained from day one and has gotten away with more stuff in this league than 95% of all the other players combined. To an extent, it will be somewhat odd watching a league without Kobe in it (he has been there since I started watching basketball), but I certainly won't be losing any sleep over it.
That being said, I want to stomp all over the Lakers tonight. I don't even want it to be respectable. I also greatly wish that someone "accidentally" trips and punches Kobe in the jaw during the first half, and some food poisoning would be a great touch during halftime!

I think Kobe announced his retirement when he did to deflect from fact he turned into one of the worst players in the league...
I actually respect and admire Kobe's competitive spirit and drive but not his prima donna complex. This actually leads me to a point...
Ben could learn a thing or two from Kobe. Get mad. Get mean. Assert yourself. Be aggressive. Get in someone's face.
I wish Ben played angry sometimes and like just knocked someone over. This was Kobe when he was at his feisty best. Just a relentless competitor.
Ben is in a lot of ways the direct opposite of classic Kobe and one of the reasons he loses minutes at the SG position to a PG in Darren....
I think to be a good to great player in this league you have to have a mean or aggressive streak and I don't know if Ben has that.
And Kings win by 20-30 points tonight regardless of the injuries. Boogie is back.

I would imagine the concern would be with a fresh stitch and where it is located that banging it again would open the wound. Doctor probably just wants to give few days for the cut to close. Its weird though because how do you cut your finger on the backboard???? Are there sharp edges up there we don't know about???

It's downright sickening listening to Napear for last three hours go on and on and on about "Kobe's last time in Sacramento." I haven't listened to every minute of the stupid show (who the hell could!) but driving around in 4 o'clock hour in was all Kobe, then 5 o'clock hour at home it was Kobe overload and now into 6 o'clock hour Kobe, Kobe, Kobe! What steaming load of crap! This is not LA sports talk radio for gods sake! Well, we know the loud mouth idiot is from NYC and deep down could care less about Sacramento. This has to be one of the lowest moments in local sports history, crowning an out of town pro player like he's some conquering hero who we all need to bow down to one last stinking time. I can understand a few mentions of Kobe Bryant but for this to totally dominate airwaves of KHTK radio is pathetic and insulting beyond comprehension. Napear must go!! That should be the chant inside the arena tonight!
