Well, he wanted to get an extra year to possibly play in the pros. When you're 7'5 360 pounds, you're at such a higher risk for injury than most people.
He went undrafted. I mean, I admit to being biased, because I don't like it when anybody comes out early, but it would be different if he were going to be a lottery pick. At least then, I could see it. When you come out early, and you don't even get drafted, you made a bad decision.

Completely enjoy watching this Summer League team the organization put together. Besides our guards under contract Ben, Ray and Nik who have all played well...Acy, Moreland and Brooks have opened eyes....I put Acy there cause he's not under contract but he's improved his game a bit....don't know what the contract status is ( how many under contract), but we need to find a way to hold onto Moreland.

So could someone clear this up for me? Do we get 15 roster spots+3 guys we can send to D-league who's rights we control? or just 15 total?
79. What roster size limits exist? What is the Inactive List? What is Injured Reserve? Do any other such lists exist?
An NBA team can have a maximum of 15 players on its roster during a season (and up to 20 during the offseason). A team normally may have 12 or 13 players on its active roster, who are eligible to play in games, and can have as few as 11 for up to two weeks at a time. Any remaining players must be on the team's Inactive List, and are ineligible to play in games. Teams temporarily can have four players on their Inactive List (bringing their roster size to 16) with league approval in the event of a hardship1. Teams must suit-up at least eight players for every game.

Players assigned to the D-League are automatically placed on the Inactive List.

I think it's just the 15 roster spots. We can recruit guys like Lockett to Reno, but I think any other team can sign them to an NBA contract if they so choose.

I don't really pay much attention to Summer League but we usually don't do this well do we? It seemed weird when we hired Corbin and then he came in right away and displaced the other coach from SL duties but we're getting some decent results. I watched part of the game today and liked what I saw.

Currently (i.e. not including Acy), we have 12 players under contract, so three roster spots up for grabs between Acy/Moreland/Brooks/Sim/Cunningpork/Any guy who we acquire between now and the season. I'm also pretty sure Terry won't be on our roster come opening night so that could be another spot there as well.
