Kings-Trailblazers game discussion for 10-21

If you're suffering a bit of deja vu, it's not your imagination. We just played the Trailblazers on Friday. Now they're heading to our turf and hopefully a different conclusion to the game.

It is still pre-season, but there are things Kings fans can at least smile about. Brad Miller continues to look like he's serious about being an integral part of the team, even without the cornrows.

Let's talk about the game...

I am really intrigued by the defense so far this preseason. Hopefully we can improve on it and reverse the outcome from friday.

With Ron staying out, I'm going to hang my hopes on better offense. Hopefully having Kevin back in will make a difference. Maybe not enough to win, but at least enough to make it watchable.

I'm not intrigued by our offense, but I expected that. I figured that going into the pre-season that our defense would be quicker and a bit better, and it has, but our offense would suffer because it is still disconjointed...which I do expect to be the case for most of the regular season, too. I think that the games we DO win this season will be with socores like 89-82 and 101-96. Our offense is pathetic, with or without Kevin in the line-up, but hey, its not like expectations were very high to begin with.

I was wondering the same thing. With their shooting percentage, we could be getting killed. Kings are playing tough and hanging in there.

I'm not watching the game, listening online. Sounds like Douby is ... Ok I was about to say not being confident enough but apparently just made a beautiful pass. I think our big men are playing pretty well; shots just not falling for our shooters.

The passing is very nice...spacing is good...allows Garcia to hit an uncontested 3.

For those of you who don't know......DeMya is a power forward with the Sacramento Monarchs. She had knee surgery this summer and remained in Sacramento during the women's off-season to rehab.

A great example of why stats alone do not tell the whole story. For awhile, Salmons was bringing the ball up the court while Bibby played the 2 spot. Yes, he could be doing better, but it is not as bad as what the stats alone would indicate.

Sadly our offense seems to flow better when he isn't taking all the shots.
