I saw the T-Wolves going after all the rebounds and loose balls. The guards especially did a great job on that aspect. I think KAT had himself a pretty good game considering he had five fouls...he shot a good percentage and played within himself. Cousins looks like he's dragging out there...we can beat the conditioning down to the center of the earth, but it's evident as day that it needs work. Casspi couldn't keep Wiggins in front of him or do anything really...yet he remained on him for the majority of the game. Great plan. It's great to be back to the losing side....that's all we know and what we are used to.

It's not about criticizing, which is legitimate. It's about you repeating the same exact point again and again.
What Am I supposed to say? I've shown pictures, posted videos, it's clear as day watching him play. People keep questioning this criticism. I will stop repeating it when people stop trying to disprove it.

What a bunch of mental midgets...coaching staff and players. Same crap every game. Getting out-executed by the youngest, most inexperienced team in the league again smdh. I've tried to be optimistic about this team, but they're gonna lose the rest of the games on this road trip.

You're about one post away from leaving the building. You honestly think nobody should question your posts because you've shown pictures and posted videos? Really? You've been here less than two months and you're acting as though all our august members should just shut up and worship at your feet?

Give it a rest, dude. Seriously.

I think we see that talent cannot conquer all....if there is the notion that Cousins can get by strictly on his numbers, then the losses will continue, plain and simple. Maybe they can get a winning record at home, who knows....they can't seem to play away from California ever..

I think that you may be confusing "disproving" with "disagreeing with you about how high up on the list of priorities it needs to be when addressing what's wrong with the Kings."

That, and some people disagreeing about the source of his conditioning issues.

I make a comment about Cousin's conditioning and his sloppy play tonight. Said Poster responds saying that it's due to his play style and that a 300 pounder shouldn't be moving this much. I tell said poster that the answer is Cousins shouldn't be 300 pounds.

I don't know about being out executed....I'd say out hustled more than anything. The heart, desire and will was there from the get go. The other players were kind of jollying around and the game was always there for the taking but they never could do it.

Um...no we didn't. That's where we got killed. Omri and Rudy were pathetic, and none of our guards helped a damn bit. We got 23 defenisve boards, they got 12 offensive boards. That's not a healthy ratio, and that's with Cuz generally taking care of his own. But we got owned at all 4 other positions. Outhustled, outmuscled, outdesired.

I was saying the Wolves cleaned up on the D boards. They had a 12 rebound advantage on that end. The Kings got 8 o boards of their own and won the turnover battle so in the end the difference was fairly balanced out. The Kings average 11 o boards against, which isn't great, but 14 given up isn't what I would consider getting killed. You'd have to look at the 2nd chance points they gave up I guess.

It's not the number, it's the percentage.

Anyways, that's enough of that. Hopefully we'll get to see the best of Cousins soon. We truly do need it.

Just telling it how it is. We have a lot of problems and Cousins is certainly one of them at the moment. I'm the only one who has addressed this issue, while others just continue with the same criticisms of this team week after week. Granted, they are valid. But so is mine. I will continue to criticize Cousins until I see positive change, and the return of that top 10 player we have come to know from the last 2 seasons.
You're not the only one I see the same thing. Boogie was a better player last year. I feel entitled to criticize Boogie because I have spent years defending him. I actually don't care much about some of the off-the-court antics and when he went after Karl post-game, I said it could be a blessing in disguise.

Cousins is maybe 70% of the player he has has been. He used to get 2 BPG. He doesn't get any lift now. He's not challenging shots like he used to. That's conditioning or health or both. Fans who want to defend him are not observant enough to notice or observant but I guess don't care.

It is important to look at efficiency at this point of Boogies career. 24 and 12 don't mean anything when you play lazy defense, dribble into traffic 4-5 times per game with no plan and score points equal to shot attempts and your assist to TO is less than 1:1 .

I do disagree that we have "a lot of problem". Our problems our (1) SG black hole and (2) Boogie's ability to lead this team by being efficient and smart. 24 points on 25 shots is bad efficiency against the Wolves. We should have dropped 110 points on this team and would have if Boogie was more selective with shot selection. His first half play was bush league.

There was one sequence that epitomizes what is wrong with his mind and body. KAT schooled him on an up and under in the first half. He felt disrespected so immediately wanted to respond. He did a spin move in the lane and airball'd a lay-up. It was selfish one-on-one basketball. It wasn't team basketball. It was "my ego is bruised so I am going to score on you".

Winners don't think like this. Winners think about making the smart high percentage play. Not "I am going to show you". Its the mindset of someone more about "me" than "team".

He compounded the play by not hustling back on defense and letting KAT get a dunk attempt that led to a foul. This is not "hating" on Boogie since he is my favorite player (along with Rondo Omri and Ben and DC and Willie lol I have a lot of favorites :)). It is knowing the difference between winning and losing basketball.

You've been playing that record since the Rockets grade thread.

I remain hopeful that, at some point, the two of you realize that the reason people continue to argue with you isn't because keep saying this, but because you keep saying it, while simultaneously insisting that the reason why this is is because Cousins is fat.

And there's the difference between you and noob. You don't just repeat the same tired mantra. I don't always agree with your takes but you have a discourse with other members instead of playing the same tired refrain and getting irritated because people don't want to blindly buy into it.

I feel like Alice when she fell through the looking glass. Either that or I am in a different time dimension. I honestly cannot comprehend some of the "logic" used here by some of the members. It's not fun for me. There is always the "Ignore" function.

We don't have any wings with good explosiveness and physicality to defend guys like Wigg

Its not clear as day. Far from it. Cousins cardio was just fine coming into this season, maybe the best its ever been. And it had to be since we were going to play nonsense ball with him. Unclear how far it might have been backed down by the Achilles/back issues, but he was in fine shape entering this season. If he won't work out he won't be ripped, but that's not a factor. Marathoners are not ripped either and they will run you into the ground.

By the way, something scrawny people may not know, and I generally assume its scrawny people who make these arguments, but the reason you wince and flinch and get tired so quickly when a big hoss lays the lumber on you is because you have no padding, every blow is felt much more deeply, and you have to leverage every pound you have to hold off their superior mass.

Big guys don't go spryly springing around the court. Never have. I can only imagine these same nonsense standards being applied to low energy muscle-free HOFers like Dirk or Duncan. You're a big guy and you carry the weight of the offense and rebounding on your shoulders, you are doing hard work.

This is the sort of game WCS could have made a difference in. Too bad he is out with a busted finger. Also the lack of an elite wing defender really was apparent in this game.

That said the Kings were right there and could have won if a couple more shots had fallen in.

Sure, Demarcus can barely walk due to a bevy of back and feet issues but the guy needs to be doing more cardio. Handcuff him to the stairmaster, I say!

I didn't like the game management in the final seconds of the game. We trailed by 3 and had no timeout left, but don't go for a 3 point play for one of our shooters, but try a pick&roll with Cousins for 2 points.
We signed Bellinelli for this type of situation.

Who, if anyone, has said that Cuz weighs 300 pounds. How did Cousins go from being in the best shape of his career, to having to get rid of baby fat? Yes, he's probably a little out of shape because of his injuries, but that should cure itself in a couple of weeks of playing. Cousins will never look like Anthony Davis. I agree that he doesn't have the body type to constantly run up and down the floor, but that doesn't mean he's out of shape. As Bricky pointed out, there are a lot of things wrong with this team, but Cousins physical conditioning is way down the list of priority's. Were getting killed on the boards, and you want to pick on the one player that's actually grabbing most of the rebounds. You've lost all credibility with me, and are immediately going on my ignore list.

We dug a hole in the first quarter, and spent the rest of the game trying to dig our way out. However, despite that, we had a chance to win the game at the end, and we simply didn't execute. Chalk that up to whatever you want, but that's the reason we lost. We couldn't get a stop when we needed one. We couldn't grab a defensive rebound when we did get an initial stop, and we couldn't make a basket when the game depended on it. And the couple of baskets Cuz made at the end don't count, because they were give away's to prevent a three point shot. They had a two possession lead at that time. The only way to have a chance on our last couple of possessions was to hit three's, and we couldn't.

So blame it on small ball or whatever you want. Personally, I think Karl got out coached at the end of the game. There's an old saying, "if its not broke, don't fix it". Well coach, it's broke, so you'd better fix it before it's too late. Maybe it's time to start giving Curry some of Belinelli's minutes. We know he can shoot the ball, and personally, I think he's a better defender than Belinelli. If were honest, Belinelli hasn't lived up to expectations, and maybe he'll eventually figure it out, but in the meantime, our ship is sinking. I thought McLemore's defense was pretty good last night, but he needs to crash the boards more. Someone teach Gay how to box out. Hey, we had (going on memory here) 22 assists and only 12 turnovers, so that's a positive. I still think that this team has the talent to make the playoffs. Especially with the rest of the West struggling. But a championship? Not even close. As a matter of fact, that idea is laughable.

Bingo!

If anything drives me totally insane about this team, it's how they can perform at an impressive level one night and then act like they can just coast along the next time they step onto the court. I've seen it off and on for nearly a decade and still can't figure out why it happens.
