[Game] Kings @ Thunder - Sunday, 12/6/15 - 4 pm PST, 7 pm EST

My iPad is trying its best
You know what? I like that way better than all of these stupid nicknames that are usually some derivation of the player's initials and/or last name.

I think, from now on, that we should start making everybody's nickname be determined either by closed captioning (Sauce Castillo) or auto-correct (Lantern).

Is it? My memory is sketchy, that's why I was wondering if there's some sort of stat on that. My impression of Cousins has always been that he's not a very good low post player, at least with his back to the basket. He has that one spin move, but that's about it. The real greats all had some drop step half hook, or a fade away shot or something of that sort. Cuz is more of a... barrel his way to the rim using his size and quickness, and then try and lay it up. Strength wise I agree that last season he looked more explosive, but that was from the point that he had the ball under the rim, e.g. off an offensive board or something. I still remember one game where he got triple teamed and still dunked it and got fouled. In terms of getting the ball and then making a move? Has never appeared elite to me.

I don't even know how to begin to answer this. You don't think Cousins has a drop-step half hook or a fade away? You either have a really short memory (and with everything that's happened in the last 6 months, I can't say I blame you) or you've somehow managed to miss one of the great post-scorers of this generation doing his thing. I'm really sorry. I'll look for some highlights for you because he was well on his way to being the best low-post threat in the game before this season happened.

No I really don't. Not polished ones anyway. Every NBA player can whip out a move here and there. Again, let me clarify - I'm not saying he can't score down low. He's extremely talented. I'm talking about HOW he scores, which IMO is through his combination of mobility and size. He's able to take his defender off the dribble, carve out space with his big frame and then get a layup out of it. But when he's not able to do that, he doesn't have the moves to get good high % shots off. Again, I want to see his FG% around the rim compared to other great post scorers.
