[Game] Kings @ Thunder - Sunday, 12/6/15 - 4 pm PST, 7 pm EST

Cousins is clearly hurting. Perhaps he is on the perimeter to keep him from getting beat down.

Well... way out at the 3 point line makes no sense. But a lot of fans here seem to think Cousins is this dominant Shaq-like low post player who we can just throw the ball to and have good things happen. I don't see that. More often than not he just ends up getting smushed around the rim, or not getting calls and then getting upset. Nor is our screen setting good enough to get guys open for shots for Cousins to pass out to. He's most effective from the high post/elbow where he's able to take his man off the dribble without help being able to come over.
He's decent on the block. Against Kanter, apparently, decent isn't enough.

Thing is ... for all the talk of bad play from Cousins, Collison etc, playing James Anderson, if we just make our FTs earlier in the game we're tied or ahead. So is coaching really that big of an issue? Or are we just that talented?

George Karl has the entire team lined up outside the arc like it's a freakin 3 point shooting contest. It may be a close game -- OKC does not look like a playoff team today -- but this is just awful basketball.

That may be true so far this season, it most certainly was not true last season.

Is it? My memory is sketchy, that's why I was wondering if there's some sort of stat on that. My impression of Cousins has always been that he's not a very good low post player, at least with his back to the basket. He has that one spin move, but that's about it. The real greats all had some drop step half hook, or a fade away shot or something of that sort. Cuz is more of a... barrel his way to the rim using his size and quickness, and then try and lay it up. Strength wise I agree that last season he looked more explosive, but that was from the point that he had the ball under the rim, e.g. off an offensive board or something. I still remember one game where he got triple teamed and still dunked it and got fouled. In terms of getting the ball and then making a move? Has never appeared elite to me.

Billy Donovan has looked over matched this season. Contrary to popular sentiment running Brooks out of town has hurt them.

Kayte talking about rebounding. Anybody wanna guess why rebounding numbers are down?

I'm not sure but at some point in the 3rd quarter we were getting outrebounded big time, but had a lineup of Koufos Cousins Gay Collison and Rondo. That's still a pretty big lineup, if you're trying to imply it's simply a smallball issue.

Do we watch the same games?
