Somebody explain this to me. The point of all the small players is to spread the floor and isolate cousins on the block 1 on 1. But cousins is on the perimeter as well. So where is going with this small lineup an advantage when your not using it to isolate the best big man in the NBA?

It must mean that 'someone' thinks that he can be even more effective with an outside to in style, than he was before?

I'm kind of taken aback by the notion of "See, these stats indicate that the defense is bad!" I didn't need to see any stats to know that, already. I'm kind of troubled by the idea that there is somebody who's seen all or most the games, and didn't actually believe that the defense was bad, until after somebody showed them some numbers.

I think you misinterpreted it. I took it as a comment that KF knew the defense was bad, but that seeing just how high the Kings are in the points per game category reinforced that opinion. But whatever... you do nit pick and I have this overwhelming compulsion to step in where I'm not really needed.

And one more thing? Not everyone watches every single game. Some people have ... um, what's the word? ... lives?

Sorry, but this isn't high school. This is a grown man with a reputation on the line. His legacy of possessing a better win/loss record is on the line. Placing decades of work in the firepit because he wants to stick it to Vlade? Sorry, but that's beyond far fetched.

Actually that wasn't my point at all. Sorry if it came across that way. The emphasis was more on the fact that I didn't realize the Kings were so high up on the scoring ladder. I figured we were maybe 8 or 9, but I didn't think we were in the top 5, especially there are many teams out there with alot of offensive firepower.

Oh, good question. I'd sure like for someone to ask Karl during the post-game...but they won't.

I mean seriously you could use this lineup by posting cousins and when double comes one of those 3 pt shooters is going to be open. But it's not like that. Karl wants them cutting and using screens. We don't have anybody that is a good screener and our cuts are slow and choppy. So give up on that after 21 games of it not working right? I mean this lineup kills your defense (which is what Karl is blaming it all on) with these lineups you obviously give up defense in lieu of offense but your not running the offense that best suits the small lineup. It's just poor coaching decisions.

Our offensive plays consist of finding Cousins or Gay for a 1 on 1 play,....or waiting for Marco to run around from the other side for a quick look. That's about it

Cousins is still hurt. I can tell by his lack of explosion and not being able absorb contact and finish. It's disheartening to see since this roster is built around him and he is unable to hold his end of the bargain to physical struggles. Getting close to another lost season for this franchise.

I feel like Cousins is going to be a guy who doesn't have a very long (great) career unless he starts actually working hard on fundamentals and footwork and post moves. His game is so dependent on his mobility and quickness to get to the rim and he's so groundbound that even as a young dominant force he doesn't finish well around the rim against any decent big defender. For the stat experts - is there anything that shows his % (attempts and makes) of challenged baskets around the rim?
