Kings talking to Daniel Santiago??

The Malaga Post, a spanish language newspaper indicates Puerto Rican center Daniel Santiago is talking to the Kings as well as the TWolves.

Betcha this means Santiago's Agent is talking to the Kings in that he (Santiago) is over in Asian now. The agents always want to have multiple teams appear to be talking to their clients as a negotiation tactic.

oh yeah, I remember Uwe...it was funny watching him, he was actually a first round pick. He was on that Mavs team with Blackman and Harper. Not anything I'd want on the Kings roster.

It's one newspaper posting a rumor. I don't think I'll be too concerned quite yet. I think the bigs we've already invited to camp - Amundsen and Williams - are BOTH much better than this kid, even in HIS dreams.

I agree ^. Williams/Amundson would beat him out for spots anyways. Santiago is a scrub who played an average 1 and a half qtrs vs. the USA before being brought back down to earth in such a flash - he disappeared.

I can understand that interest in him. He played a decent season in Spain. His team won the championship, so he is no a loser. To be honest, he can only the garbage(osa) time, but, many worst centers than him have been playing, so...Potapenko is not better than him,

Imo, my grandmother is a better center than O-tag

Seriously, he'd be nothing more than a training camp invite. Which we've done for FA bigs and players in the past. Obviously this guy isn't going to get guaranteed money from us, when he has never proved himself on the NBA level. 7 pts, 3 boards, and a couple charges in parts of the 1st half vs. Team USA, then completely disappearing - doesn't count.

Well same Malaga Hoy (I had said Malaga Post earlier) now says Santiago ".... thinking about returning to play in Malaga (Spain)". Whew....
