Parker jumper doesn't go; Bonzi board.

MARTIN FOR THREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy crap.

2.8 seconds left after Martin's shot. Parker gets the ball, crosses the line, lets go over a Kings out-stretched hand and gets the three.

78-62 Spurs

End of the third quarter.
 
Regardless of what happens from this point on, I am proud of this team for defying the odds and even getting into the playoffs in the first place. I am anxious to see what Petrie does in TDOS and I am looking forward to seeing a full year of Ron Artest on our team.

Kings outrebounding the Spurs, Kings have more points in the paint. They're just losing it on turnovers.

Grant and Jerry reminding people that to beat the Spurs at all in the playoffs is an accomplishment. To beat them twice and nearly three times is something to build on.

NVE called for non-shooting foul on Martin. 3rd team foul. Still Kings ball.

Although the game looks very close to being out of reach, the crowd doesn't appear to be going anywhere. It looks like they don't want it to end...

Pop putting the Spurs starters back onto the court. That shows respect for our Kings.

I want to take a moment to thank all of you for the kind words about my PBP efforts. I have enjoyed being able to bring the flavor of Kings basketball to you and I hope you'll all come back next time...

It was a good ride and we got a lot further than any of us could have thought possible.

Once, now and always - I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!!

Arco faithful - those who are left - stand up and cheer, as well they should.

Rick Adelman and Gregg Popovich meet on the sidelines and shake hands.

Spurs and Kings players meet center court and shake hands.

Parker comes over and gives Adelman a hug.

Artest limps painfully off the court.

Thanks VF! Your PBPs were awesome. Looking forward to next season's and i can't wait to see this team in action in 2006-2007 season. I'm sure they will be a force in the West once again. Go Kings!!!
 
THANK YOU VF!!! These games are hard. I could not do it. Those of us not fortunate enough to get to watch, still get to "see" the game thanks to you!! I'm already looking forward to reading them next season! YOU'RE THE BEST!

Clearly I've been a Kings fan for too long. When I first read this, I thought "Wait, that's unpossible!"

Took more time than it should have to realize what that would mean.

From a Spurs fan, congratulations on your turn around. As all sports fans know, when you're a fan of any team, you're going to experience disappointment more than 'thrill of victory'. Unless you go all they way, every team and their fans, eventually experience what you're experiencing now.

It's been a great turn around and I hope you can carry it into next year.

With that said, think of it this way, dream for a moment that you won the west....and then going into Auburn Hills without HCA and watching big Ben and Rasheed doing really mean things to ya'...

*gulp*

You don't want that.
