What a pathetic performance, we don't deserve advancing playing like this. I can't even watch. So much for backing up Artest. We have no defense and no offense. We have no soul or any balls playing like this. I am disgusted. The only thing we are playing for in this game now is not to lose by 50 or 100, either way.

I was so excited before this game, i just wished i could have been closer.

Rick should have stuck with the starters late in the 1st, he let this game get out of control. He is really getting out coached. Popovich is exploiting the weakness of the kings, and Rick seems lost. Im am no Adelman hater, i would prefer he come back next year, but he needs to step up as a coach.

Wow, what time does the heat game start?:(
Outcoached? In a destruction of this magnitude coaching is completely irrelevant.

i think the refs are biased, because we have 3 guys and foul trouble compared to sa none.
There is no biased. SA is attacking the basket and getting there calls, while SAC is shooting jump shots and getting out hustled.

There is NO conceivable way you can put this at the feet of Rick Adelman. If anything, you blame Geoff Petrie who built this team. Look at the depth of the Spurs and then look at the bench of the Kings. There is NO comparison. None whatsoever.
I blame martin, graica, hart, and thomas because they were all supposed to be decent players off the bench at the beinning of the year.

wow, ron is actually shooting a pretty decent %, 5-11.

this game is an aberation. the spurs will NOT shoot that way the rest of the series, probably not even the rest of the game. however the damage is done tonight, this one is long over.

get the O together, play better D, make this somewhat respectable, and get it together for game 2.

a split isn't out of the question for this 2 gamer in SA, make it happen kings!

You're giving them credit for a C game? No way it is above a D effort...maybe even an F.
yeah I'll stand by my C game assment. No doubt they are NOT palying well, but the Spurs are hitting dam near every shot, evne when the Kings do defend. the Kings are also getting a lot of decent ball movement but are not hitting the outside shots... No better than a C, but a big part of what makes them look so bad is who they are playing against.

Oh good lord. Are you WATCHING the game?

If anything the officials have taken pity on us and haven't called some of the fouls they could have called as the Kings play continues to deteriorate.

We're being blown out. You can't put it at the feet of the officials or Rick Adelman.

First, you give credit where credit is CLEARLY due. The Spurs are THAT good. Do you think they won 63 regular season games by accident? They came out and have sent a message - Not in OUR House!

The Kings made the playoffs. They may take a couple of games from the reigning champions. If they do nothing more, that's more than we expected back in January.

Reality bites...

But for most of us, it won't matter. We'll still root for our team. Tomorrow is another day and Tuesday is a whole new ballgame.

I disagree with those of you who say Rick takes no blame for this. I am a complete Rick supporter, but at some point the coach has to take some responsibility for the CLEAR lack of effort and lack of intensity.

Yes the talent gap is alarming (especially off the bench), and yes the team seems to have quit on this game (meaning that the players ARE very much to blame), but the Kings never showed ANY intensity in the first half, and the defensive game plan seemed medicore at best. Some of that has to fall on the coach. Otehrwise why the hell is he there...

Well it seems prety clear that the Kings C game is no match for the Spurs A game...
And that's the key. We are not going to beat the Spurs by accident. To beat the Spurs we have to play well, play basically our best. I have no doubt that we can still grab a game this series, hopefully more, but not unless we find our "A" game.

Artest effect?

I still see a team of creampuffs.

If the Kings don't start displaying some level of pride not only will they be forgettably swept, but they'll usher Adelman (fairly or not) out the door.

total annhilation.

but it's just one game.

they came out with intensity that we couldn't match and hit everything they put up there. they only missed 12 shots in the 1st HALF! 12!!!!! plus, on atleast 3 of their misses, they got the o-reb and scored on the 2nd chance.

SA is playing almost perfect basketball.

i just wish sac would respond in game 2.

i'm also wondering what ron's gonna say after tonight.

I think it's the complete lack of effort from the big men... Reef, Kenny, and Brad have shown ZERO effort, and the perimeter players are being held out to dry... Once they get beat off the dribble, there is NO help defense, and they aren't rebounding for s***... The reboudning difference is just attrocious... Brad has sucked it up ALL GAME, and has shown zero intensity... I would have though to seen effort out of Reef being it was his first playoff game, but nope, he's been out there like it's a pickup game. KT has shown a bit of effort, but nothing compared to what they need. UNBELIEVABLE... The Kings were getting praise, and now they're going to get laughed off the television screen. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided not to televise game 2...

I think you guys need to cut the team some slack. They are under ENORMOUS pressure right now. They are playing probably the best team in basketball in a playoffs series, on national TV, and Ron has put them in the spotlight with all of his insane predictions. We just have to see if they can respond.

I wonder what the worst blow-out in playoff history has been? As to the bench, the Maloofs have wanted to be under the luxury tax cap. They finally made it this year. Wonder what they are thinking out there in SA right now?

Well, I'd like to see our guys come back and play the Spurs even in the second half. C'mon guys, you really aren't THIS bad.
