I wonder if SAR is going to have flashbacks to Vancouver & Atlanta?

Too bad about the game right now, a few of our guys were really out there trying and looking good. It's too bad we have that second unit to change the whole flow.

Maybe he got the okay to stay home for this quick trip. He could be getting some kind of treatment on his hand.

i was thinking that, too. really not a big deal at all. just wanted to see him wearing his suit again. it looks good on him, actually. :)

well this game officialy cuts Hart, because price is showing he got game...
besides for the assistS:(

10-2 run in the 4th

I like Ronnie a lot. but I certainly appreciate the fact that Bibby can score and get assists. Bibby has been trying harder on defense, but Price is better there.

Yeah, he looked quite sharp last night. Addressed the crowd before the game.

really? pretty cool. what did he say?

oh and i just saw him. he's in the arena :) looking good once again on a suit quite similar to the one he wore last night.

It's not just getting assists that Bibby can do - it's controlling the tempo. Price can't control the team. It's the PGs job to slow us down or speed us up ... and just direct the team.

Price hasn't shown he can do that.

He's shown he can be a really neato SG.

Always good to see the Kings stumble upon the shocking discovery that Martin is pretty good on offense and maybe they should try and get him the ball.

Yeah. Altho Martin's elbow just caught Watson. Watson spit two teeth onto the floor.

LMM: Brad just welcomed the fans to the arena basically and thanked them for being such great fans.:)

I'd rather have Kevin's injured elbow than Watson's missing teeth. OUCH!!

Probably put those teeth back in. Should be able to do that.

Well, the last two games have been pretty hard to watch. Just nothing much on offense.

Although the Sonics shooting % has dropped from 61% at the half to 56% now, it's also hard to get really excited about the D.

Tell me, whenever somebody gets hot, why must we avoid him? Just like at Kmart.

I don't think anyone avoided Martin. He got his shots.

There were a few players on the team that probably should have had more looks.

I'm really starting to get peeved at Ron Artest. He tries to do too much out there. He's got to let the game come to him instead of forcing it. He's not Kobe, he's not even Kevin Martin. He doesn't create the separation, nor is he a good enough shooter to put up the shots he puts up. If we're looking for another 38% from the field than keep it up.

Muss needs to set up some post plays for both Artest and SAR. Set downlow screens and picks to get Artest/SAR more favorable matchups. Our pick and roll doesn't do much because we never give it to the rolling man.

I liked what I saw in qtr 1. We moved a lot without the ball and our offense was flowing out of the post. Then we became perimeter oriented and everything fell apart. It's "fool's gold" to think we can be perimeter oriented and win. We just aren't built for it ... especially without Bibby/Miller.

Dang we really need Bibby and even Miller back. Our D has been terrible without Miller, really our inside defense has been terrible ever since Brad is out(last 2 games). Also our offense has looked like garbage.

Because its preseason. Muss already knows what Martin is capable of doing. At this point, he's got to make decisions about the roster and who he's going to substitute in for the starters, especially while Bibby's out.

They said Brad wants to play Friday. If he can, it might be good. Otherwise he's not going to play in an actual game until next Wednesday. Course, I have mixed feelings. I sure don't want him to hurt the hand worse.

Yes, I noticed that in the First Quarter we played well when Artest and SAR were focused in the Post. Ron needs to get down on the block more. He's not Tmac or Kobe, and I think it's time he realized that. Kevin can play the Tmac/Kobe role, Artest needs to stick with what he does well.

I'm just annoyed that Kevin got hot and the very next possession KT bricks a runner in the lane.

@kennadog: If we know what he can do, why was he even in the game in the first place? Isn't the preseason's purpose to see what works and what doesn't? Kmart can take over the offense like Bibby had done in the games before, and I think that's important to test out.

I think you're blowing that out of proportion. Our interior defense wasn't all that bad with our starters. Our second unit got squashed and we never got back in the flow of the game.

We took a nasty hit and it flipped the whole game.

What this team misses is a bench and Mike Bibby. If Brad came off the bench and Bibby started, the outcomes would have been different. We wouldn't see Corliss playing center nor any minutes of the Mo-Show.

Our offense is hurting because we don't have a PG that can lead the team. Bibby, god bless him, at least controls the team. Right now we're running our offense through NBDL level guards outside of Martin and Salmons.

^ Agreed.... Ron takes too many damn shots... and he has horrible shot selection. I would understand if he's shooting well but with his efficiency he shouldn't be taking so many shots. If anything he should post up more instead of taking those low percentage Js he loves so much. He needs to focus on what he does best instead of trying to lead the team in scoring. K-Mart and Reef are more reliable options if we want buckets.
We may be able to live with or without Miller for a while but I really hope Bibby is back soon.

He's in the game, becasue you don't just play him no minutes. He still has to keep his timing, conditioning up and continue to gel with other players. As much as it would be nice to win, preseason is the only time a coach has to experiment. And Muss just got handed a pretty big setback in getting the team ready with Bibby's injury.

You can hope, but we get Miller back immediately whereas Bibby is gone for weeks.

Ron Artest, though, believes he's on the same level as Kobe and McGrady offensively. He's said it as much numerous times. One of the reasons he wanted out of Indiana was he wanted to play more offense and not be in O'Neal's shadow.

Coach needs a sit down because it doesn't matter how good on defense you are ... you can't ruin the offense. Just as it doesn't matter how good your offense is, you still have to try on defense.
