I didnt get off work till 6pm and couldnt watch the game. I hate away games on the east coast. On top of that comcast doesnt play them again after....
The game IS being rebroadcast on Comcast, at least on DishNetwork. House Party Live starts at 9:30 p.m. with the game at 10 p.m.

It's a shame when a player has a nice night and it's viewed as active interference with the team's future.

Its a shame when people don't see the bigger picture. But Brad having a nice night is hardly the issue. He hurts the big picture in three distinct ways:

1) contract precludes capspace until shed
2) adds wins in the interim, worsening draft position and prospects for future young stars
3) directly interferes with minutes for our two young frontcourt players

He in fact interfers with the future, a future he will not be a part of BTW, in every possible way you can do so. Having a nice night has nothing to do with it. To the degree it reestablishes some trade value for him, it might even be a good thing.

It's a shame when a fan cannot enjoy a good game or nice play by a player, because we are chastised for not seeing the bigger picture. Well, bleep the bigger picture. I like Brad Miller and I very much enjoyed watching him have a very good game.

Works both ways, the ones who look more at the bigger pictured are chastised as well.

So it's all one big shame lol.

Regardless I enjoyed seeing our "Twin Towers" dominate to an extent ;)

Yeah, whatever.

This board used to be fun to come to after a win because people would celebrate, just for a little while, the joys of winning. Now you can't even be glad Brad Miller had a good night without being told you don't see the big picture.

Well, maybe the big picture isn't all it's cracked up to be. And maybe the emperor wasn't wearing any clothes...

Seriously, your unbelievable.

Wow Brick calm down bro. Each win is putting you a little closer to a suicide watch.
ROFL this board has just been flat out terrible to come to lately, How in the world is brads good night hurting this teams future? Some of You guys act like we have a young lebron on the bench not getting any playing time or something, spencer hawes doesnt need to play a WHOLE lot more than he is right nowand douby has been utter trash these past few games.

Right now it will be difficult to move these bad contracts but im confident that petrie will get it turned around, so i will be patient. Dont know about you guys but i sure as heck am enjoying every win, and i will continue to.

BTW this post isnt directed towards you BMILLER.

I don't get why rebuilding and rooting for the team to win have to be mutually exclusive. If someone's a King, I want them to be trying their best to win and I will cheer for them to do so. Would I rather be cheering on a group of likable youngsters with a long future ahead of them? You bet. But I'll still cheer on a good game from Miki (even if there are ulterior motives regarding him increasing his trade value). There's still no reason to want the Kings to perform badly.

Yea I could tell it wasnt at me because I didn't adress any of that stuff.

I have to say I agree the most with LPkingsfan. I mean the better certain guys play, the more tradeable they become. So if Miller continues to have big games, teams won't look at him as such a bad contract and we might get something decent in return. I would rather we have some great youth, but part of the way you get that is in trades and if some of these bad contracts become moveable thats one of the only ways to see that happen. And I don't want to see guys just give up and say screw this and stop playing hard, because then it sets a bad example for our younger guys and it makes Theus' job hard+they would've given up on him if that's the case.

You ascribe to me motivations invented by others to explain their limited black and white view of the world.

Brad Miller is, does and will continue to interfere with the future of this team. It was true a month ago, true today, and will be true a month from now (if he is still here). He is an active impediment to a rebuild. One of the worst. Doesn't make him evil, just makes him a classically bad piece for a rebuilding team: expensive vet eating up minutes, capspace and occasionally adding to those pointless victories between 25-40.

Now that said, I defy you to go up above and find where I said a) the win particularly bothered me (I could really care less, and those less concerened with dogma than truth would find me largely predicting a win before the game); or b) Brad Miller having a good game bothered me. Quite to the contrary, I think it is much as good a thing as those who never get beyond the simple "Brad play good me clap!" paradigm. My own is Brad play good Brad becomes tradeable = good! Less catchy. Better thought out. Gets us to the same place.

This is an opinion.

This is an opinion.

So is defense wins championships.

Odd how some opinions are proven right again and again and again. Even odder how some people close their eyes and try to ignore that.

Here's a quote:
1) contract precludes capspace until shed
2) adds wins in the interim, worsening draft position and prospects for future young stars
3) directly interferes with minutes for our two young frontcourt players
You will notice the oddity that such a quote actually encompasses straight forward, easily digestible, arguments rather than vague complaints. It is imminently fair, it gives anyone encountering it every opportunity in the world to either agree with it, and know what they agrteeing with, or disagree with it on any point. Feel free.
