How bad of an injury is a strained Achilles?

Can be anything from minor to pretty bad. BUT Rudy left the court walking, which might indicate it's less severe ... and it's not a TORN Achilles. That was what Kobe Bryant had.

I mean 'out of the game'. It was only minutes between him going into the locker room and Grant reporting that he wouldn't return. I take that as a bad sign.

I realized that after I posted. I'm just used to seeing "call Rudy out" in an entirely different context. Sorry for the confusion.

Not all people handle things the same. I'm not making excuses for him. I do understand if he's distracted.

You make Thornton sound emasculated. If he's that distracted, he needs to take time off...

And I know that sounds harsh but you're making it sound like Thornton is unable to do his job and that's just not right. The vast majority of players who have family illnesses, etc. do not fold because of it. They use the game to put their focus on something else for a while.

with DMC and Gay not on the floor, you can see a big change in talent level.. man

I think part of the problem is also that Rudy has quickly become an integral part of the team, and they miss him. I hope they'll be able to adapt...but it's not easy to do on the last game of a long hard road trip. Malone had to totally shred his game plan the minute Gay left the court.

I'm not good on matchups but I'm wondering if bringing Carl Landry in might be useful. He'd at least be someone the Rockets weren't planning on seeing...

Good to see Ben attacking and being somewhat aggressive with the ball. Something more than playing hot potato

I'm seeing a lot of the Reggie Miller leg extension by the long shooters. I thought that was outlawed a few years ago.

Hey Grant? Could it be they're looking tired and making mental mistakes because they're being forced to go totally out of their comfort zone because of Gay's injury?

Ok I give up. You win. I'm not saying he can't do his job. Geez. He's having his worst season ever. I'm just saying there could be the remote possibility it is affecting his play. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that. I understand your position.
