Kings place Taylor on waivers (merged)

Getting rid of Price? I want Ronnie Price to stay with the team. He provides energy and enthusiasm. And he aint all that bad when he gets on the court either.

Do you mean Hart? I don't want Price going anywhere and he's way better than Jason Hart.
Yeah, sorry I meant Hart. I like Price, wish he'd play more.

Hart opted to stay here because he knew he had the Kings over the barrel with his player options and no other team would play him, let alone for what he was owed. Now he's complaining about it. I wish I could complain about getting paid $1.6M to sit on the bench.

If anyone remembers my ranting on the hiring of Mo and it's effect on Williams status, they will know that I am absolutely ecstatic about this move. Nice to see that GP flipped back what had been by far his worst off/pre-season move.

^^^I think a lot of us here at Kingsfans were mad at Petrie's choice to pick up the washed up Taylor, who couldnt even make it on the Knicks, instead of signing Justin Williams, who shows lots of potential to bring JUST what the Kings need, and at a much cheaper price.

I think the Maloofs should fire GP and hire Kingsfans.com to work as GM by comittee ;)

i dont know about that. TheJoker is gonna want to give Darko $60mil. j/k:D
Hence "the committee" part - I know everyone here might have an idea or two the rest think is wacky. Except me, of course! ;)

Y'all did hear about the baseball team who was managed by the local town, didn't you?

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- For baseball fans, second-guessing the manager's decisions -- and running him out of town after mistakes -- is an essential part of the game.
Now, a minor league team will find out whether fans can do the job better. The Schaumburg Flyers, an independent team west of Chicago, yesterday declared that from here on in, fans will take over managerial duties for the team.
Through Internet voting, the public will decide the team's batting order, pitching rotation, and which players to trade. Even the style of team uniforms could go up for a vote. Yesterday, fans took control of their first managerial task -- deciding which nine players to start in the game -- and, over the next several weeks, the team plans to give them the rest of the managerial duties as well.
Envisioning their experiment as a cross between ``Bull Durham" and ``American Idol," the Flyers will allow a camera crew to videotape the action -- including the locker room and players' personal lives -- and broadcast it in streaming video over the Internet. The idea is the brainchild of executives at a Los Angeles production company called LivePlanet, which is working with Microsoft Corp.'s MSN.

There's more there, but that's the idea.

this is hilarious. we just have no room or time for Taylor so we waive him, meanwhile Hart has been bitchin and probably wont be waived. maybe he'll get moved, but it just seems like a big FU to Hart an his agent.

Was thinking of the same thing. If Hart is being retained (at least till the trade deadline) as a potential trade filler, then why is Mo being waived? He can also fulfill the same role.

Grocery stores, convenience stores, and gasoline stations across our great nation, start stocking up on twinkies, ho-ho snack cakes, potato chips, candy, etc..

Mo Taylor has been set free.
