Kings @ Pacers Game Thread

Well, I knew we could definitely lose this coming in (on the road, Indy's been struggling, and are still a pretty good team). But, I know this loss isn't going to kill us, and we'll still be in the playoff picture with our consistency recently. We also have another game in 1 1/2 days, at Minny.

Good for Peja, and the Pacers to get a win

the darko/krstic frontline is intimidating. I'm excited for this summer...

I watched Darko tonight, he played very well: 10 pts, 7 reb, 2 ast, 4 blk, 0 TO.

Not upset at the loss 1) because its Indiana 2) Nothing bad happened.
uhh...that's the exact opposite. you should be upset because it's artest's last team, an AWAY game, and something bad happened - we lost. I'm still so mad we choked like that...

can't win them all

no you can't, but if denver can win in Indy a couple days ago, we can, and should have. it's disappionting we blew the lead is all, if we made a rally to lose by 5, it wouldn't matter so much. the point is we should have won, and had a game up on the lakers. every game this month is crucial, especially winnable road ones. look at our april schedule - http://www.nba.com/kings/schedule/index.html @Dallas, @Spurs, @Clippers, @Denver, hosting Clippers/Phoenix - all VERY tough games. If we don't close out this month strong, we may not make it. :(

Don't worry my friend. Have you checked out Memphis' schedule?

we own Clippers and still - the worst case scenario - we will make 8th by defoult.

Pacers have a good team. They are missing their best player. No shame in losing there. We have to pay price for playing the 7 man rotation.

well, Maggette is back for the Clips, they will be tougher. 8th seed isn't what we want, no one wants to play Dallas/Spurs even if we put up a formidable fight which we will whoever we face. We want to snag that 6th seed to play Denver so we can stick Artest on Anthony and win the series. All i'm saying is, April will be very tough, we need every game we can get this month, especially road ones since we're so good at home now.

dude all this pessimism. we had this game today, cept we missed layups. two big ones in the final two minutes, we make those, its a tie game score wise and they probably don't fast break. still we lost, and I expect us to take it out on Minny. Either KG or Ricky Davis will be shut off by Artest, and the other will get his. Kings win by around 15. This team is playing well enough to get to 6th, but Memphis has to suck a little more. They are treading water right now. Kings had this game, then they missed layups. Too bad. Next game please.

Darko was great as well tonight

That is a solid froncourt for Japan and a very bright future
All Darko needed was some playing time. You don't learn anything getting splinters on the bench.

Its an intimidating front court no doubt and one with great potential. I think our problems are somewhere else. Until the administration side of things is fixed up (not patched up) I don't feel overly confident about the future of the NT.

If Pedja plays - we will be fine. With Vujanic out - we don't have a point guard. We will be fine.

On court thats my biggest worry. If I see Rakocevic or Vule play as playmakers I think I will need a bucket. We need to get Djordjevic out of retirement :p

one of the reasons that we didn't win anything in 3 years. Not that it is his fault but the probelm is that there was noone better

April will be tough. Winning percentage of teams we play for the remainder of March (as of a couple of days ago) like 48%, winning percentage of teams we play in April - 60%. Every game this month is critical. Every game this season is critical. But, we are not going to win them all. We dropped one tonight, but we don't have to get off track...

1. I MUCH prefer Gary to Grant on the radio PBP.
2. Grant said that a fan threw the basketball back onto to court at Ron and hit him in the leg - on purpose was implied. Was that true or was he overracting like normal?

That was Jim "Koz" Kozimor. Grant was on TV as usual:p

2. Yes, but it was off an aggressive defensive knock-away on 1 of 2 last-shot attempts to the end the half by the pacers. Someone threw the ball back (it went into the crowd) and I saw him move a bit, assuming the ball hit him, kinda looking down at the same time. I doubt he took it as anything or cared too much, as he displayed. On the next play, he knocked the ball away again on the pass attempt to get a shot to end the half.
