Kings/Mil

Entity

Hall of Famer
Ron Artest to Millwalkee for Charlie V. Jake V. and a first rounder.

Charlie and Jake are not in the plans for Millwallkee and they want a turnaround and Ron has proven he can turn things around. We get an expiring and a young PF that is cheap and could ressurect his carrerr with us having a better supporting cast. Plus we get a top 10 pick for sure with Millwallkees pick.

I would do it. But I don't know Bucks will try to turn around. They're 18-30, 37.5% winning team... and they still are just two and half game(!) away from 8th seed, who is Nets.

Ooops. The Eastern conference is so weak!

Well, Charlie V. will be good for us.

I think they could get far more. And I don't think Ron Artest is a guy they'd be looking for to turn things around for them, especially since they are a young team. He would likely opt-out after this season and they'd basically have given up a good big prospect, an expiring and a lottery pick in a very, very attractive draft. I don't buy for one second that they'd even consider it.

They are rumored to be looking form something. They have the point Mo Williams and the sg Michael Redd with Yi and Bogut on the front line. They need attitude, experience, defense and talent. Enter Ron Artest.

This is exact kind of trade Geoff Petrie is paid NOT to make!

Have you happened to notice Ron-Ron has been a dominant, impact player lately??? You don't give away an awesome player like Ron-Ron for role playing underachievers.

Villaneuva = softie
Jake = who?
1st round pick = a start in trade discussions.

If the Bucks want to talk about Michael Redd or Yi as the primary player in a trade involving Artest, then we have something to talk about.

BTW, does anyone know if Artest could sign an extension with any team to which he is traded???? Or does that have to wait til the off-season?

Anyway, Geoff Petrie will let Artest walk before making a lousy trade like the one you propose. Nice try, though.

And let's not forget the Bucks are the team in a state of desperation! Their record is horrible in a horrible conference....PATHETIC!!!

Um, you do if nobody is offering more than a stale bag of Cool Ranch Doritos for him....

I don't know about you, but other than NY, I don't see anyone overly interested in Ron. And NY knows that he's opting out and can sign a long-term MLE deal with them. Why trade away anything at this point? If he won't sign an MLE contract, THEN is the time to talk S&T. But only after you find out if he will sign for the minimum first. And , news flash - at this point Ron is apparently unmovable for significant talent in return.

I'd do it, but it would be hard to pry the 1st rounder from the Bucks, considering it is likely a lottery pick. Charlie V's got the skills, but you're right. He needs to toughen up and I think Reggie Theus could teach him how.

I love Ron and I wish he would stay but, if he is traded we aren't getting back a Redd or a Yi. you can bet you *** on that. a 1st rounder an expiring and a young big. We get no more than that and you can bank on it.
