Kings media day:

Yep, I don't know the site, but they've been taking questions all day and choosing what they thought were the best one's. So far, I can't say they've been too hard hitting. I would have asked Honeycutt some harder questions. But hey, its media day so I guess were all susposed to make nice. Aaron Brooks on now...

Yesterday I saw they were taking questions on facebook to ask, and now they seem to be taking questions from people on twitter. Have not found a chat yet.

i didnt realize James Johnson was a successful MMA fighter. 20-0 kickboxing record wow. maybe this guy will be in the UFC after the NBA

Reke and Big Cuz look like they are in phenomenal shape. Big Cuz looks like he lost about 20 lbs of fat. Very impressive.

All the interviews are up on the youtube kingsflix channel. Nothing too interesting, everyone just giving stock answers you hear from athletes. DMC looked in good shape.

reading tea leaves: does anyone else think that Thornton's repeated emphasis on doing anything to win might mean he'd be willing to come off the bench or is that too optimistic?

James Johnson strikes me as a very professional and light-hearted guy. Think he'll become a fan favorite sooner or later!

I'd certainly peg him in as the starter at SF at this point. I think he may be overrating his defense (I think he is good, just not as good as he thinks he is) but we need someone with that mentality in the starting lineup.

Just means he's willing to shoot even more. :p

I thought it was interesting that the interviewer asked Tyreke about coming off the bench, and he didn't ask Thornton. Tyreke gave a good answer, saying he'd be fine coming off the bench if it mean't winning. Too bad he didn't ask Thornton the same question. And, I wonder why he would ask the player that everyone assumes will be the starter, and not the player everyone assumes will come off the bench. Just saying!

Actually, in this video from Cowbell Kingdom at 1:04 Thornton is asked about coming off the bench. He gave the standard answer "I just wanna win blablabla".

Different interview, but at least it got asked. I must say he was less enthusiastic than Tyreke was. But could just be his personality.

it was weird that, in general, the questions for Reke seemed quite a bit tougher than for anybody else. not all that dramatic, but still kinda weird.

so much hatred in here for the Kings leading scorer and most clutch shot maker.....

hatred? people want Tyreke to start at the SG spot and Thornton's game makes a lot of sense off the bench. there's nothing more to it. certainly no hate.

JT is class. Once again, glad we locked that dude up.

I and Unci03 had the privilige of sitting in the stands two years ago at summer league with JT's parents. Great people, and after getting to know them, its easy to see why JT is such a class act. Very mature person. It helps that he has a degree in communications.
