I hope so!

Am I reading this box score right? 10 minutes left in the 4th and Thompson has played 8 minutes?
I've never started a Fire Coach X thread, but boy am I tempted.
If we do I wonder who takes over?
By "they", do you mean Miller/Moore/Salmons? You must, since JT and Hawes can't seem to get some effing playing time.Rebuilding sucks! I'm not sure if I can watch the rest of this season when they get their a** kicked night after night.
He is a horrible coach and players hate him. No way.Avery Johnson is unemployed, and that accent isn't going to hire itself.

IF Theus is gone, I strongly suspect the Kings will find an interim coach so they can go after the big guns over the summer.
And the Mavericks have done so well since they fired him?
Again, Nelly had more to do with that than Avery. Read some of the stuff about his situation and when he left. Read the articles during the season before he was fired. It was not a pretty picture. He lucked into a great situation and took over a team already built to win.Honestly, every rookie coach goes through rough patches. It's not an easy job. If Avery learned the right lessons he could be a top notch coach. He had the Mavs Dick Bavetta away from a championship. That's nothing to sneeze at.
Eddie Jordan just got fired by Washington, right? Why not give him a shot this year.IF Theus is gone, I strongly suspect the Kings will find an interim coach so they can go after the big guns over the summer.
He took over a good team Nelly put together and had some success because of that. As soon as he had full control, the team went downhill, players hated playing for him, and demanded to be traded if he stayed. That's why they ditched him.

Slamson could be the interim coach for all I care as long as Thompson and Hawes are mandated 25+ minutes a night.
So Theus played the vets the last game and got blown out. Now he plays the vets again and gets blown out. (Hawes and Thompson don't seem to have a role now for some reason). And then when he puts the youngins in there in garbage time they all play like it and don't take it very seriously, just jacking up shots indiscriminately. Theus doesn't even take a time out to coach them and just allows for the poor play to continue. Is that supposed to improve the game of our younger players?
Is the finals appearance all you are basing your opinion of him on? I have to disagree. He's going to screw up any team he touches.Uh... how does going to the NBA finals comprise taking the team downhill when Nellie never got there? Particularly when the Mavs were some horrific refereeing away from winning? Granted, he choked in that series against the Warriors, but overall I'd say he took the team one step further than Nellie. If he lost the team that's on him, but I'm hopeful he learned some lessons from the experience.
And no Eddie Jordan. His player rotations are simply horrific and make no sense whatsoever. I've never been a fan.
Totally forgot about him. I wouldn't mind him at all. God I wish Hubie Brown was younger. What's Paul Silas doing these days?jeff van gundy. God knows we need some freakin defense
