And if we were actually trying to win that might create problems. Right now, however, it's a matter of putting bodies on the floor who won't run into each other because they don't know what's going on, etc. Remember, this is the second game of a back-to-back for the team and we aren't anywhere near "full strength" even though we have more of a visible bench than we had yesterday.

A bit of general advice? Don't watch for things like defensive balance, etc. Watch for things like trust in each other. As both PurpleHaze and I immediately mentioned above, the idea someone in a Kings uniform would actually call out a pick is HUGE. Those are the things that make a team a team... Trust starts with little things like that.

It's not about winning. It's about meeting each other and doing the best with what we have.

Beno really looks like PG now where has this been hiding all season. No im not gonna start kissing beno's *** but he has been playing well lately

I understand all of that, but this is nothing new .. Natt has been pairing them up all year...

I just want to mention again, Beno is playing like the guy we signed this offseason ..

I'm not gonna lie, Nocioni plays dirty. I'm seeing him hit and shoulder people when off the ball everytime down the floor...its about time we had someone like that.

I hate and detest dirty players. Always have and always will.

Andres Nocioni isn't dirty. He may make contact but I have no problem with it. We've become so used to players who are afraid of any kind of contact that we're just over-reacting. Watching players who have been in the Eastern Conference is just going to take some getting used to...

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

He isn't dirty i guess, but the guy is rough. He plays fair and within the rules but he's not exactly a pushover.

Martin is off tonight. I think he's tired.

Yep...and yep. The Mavericks respect Martin enough to bottle him up right from the beginning.

I should have put a smiley face in my other post, BTW. I didn't realize it would come across so scold-y. I'm loving what I'm seeing from Nocioni so far.

And I'm loving the ball movement, even with guys who haven't even had a meal together yet let alone time to practice. I'm loving the hustle and I'm really loving the pace...

We're not gonna win but we're sure not gonna just plop out there like cow paddies in a wet field either.

Who Says they cant win. They won with 8 players dressed(KT Dont Count) Hustle and energy is all you need tow in ball games watch Martin will have a red bull come out in the 3rd and put 20 up

Thompson is the new Miller when it comes to whining to refs after every call against him. He's going to get a rep with the refs and they will watch him closer and he'll have more fouls called on him that are close calls like Miller if he doesn't watch out.

Yeah, because we should have all our rotations set even though some of the players don't even know each other's names let alone anything else about them. :rolleyes:

It's not about winning tonight. It's about playing a game that was scheduled long before Petrie blew up the team. It's about learning to trust each other and just getting a feel for how each other plays. Diogu isn't gonna stop Bass any more than anyone else...

Coach Natt is simply trying to find a way to get through 48 minutes. He's not even remotely thinking - nor should he be - of winning this game. We don't want a win anyway, remember?
