[Game] Kings @ Mavericks - 2/13/13

HAHAHHA someone photoshopped that pic from the other night

It's amazing how much better our offense is when the players don't just settle for pullup jumpshots anytime the defense gives them a foot of space, aka the Keith Smart Marcus Thornton Isaiah Thomas offense.

When Keith Smart is gone, he will have time to write his book on NBA coaching..."How to build your powerful NBA offense around a 5'9" 60th pick". Once again, IT takes more shots than real NBA stars.

To add to my rant: how come when we're in a tight game Smart sees a need to bench Tyreke for 3/4 of the 4th quarter, but in a blowout on the second night of a back to back he plays Evans the whole 3rd and 4th to this point?

Would Rick Carlisle like to teach IT some stuff too? Because on our team being a leader = lead the team in FGA.

I don't think the NBA had seen worse offensive sets in the last 15 years before Keith Smart showed up on our doorstep.

He doesn't know how to coach. I think it really is that simple. His understanding of when he needs to have certain players in based on the score or time left is completely lacking.

But but ... this is simple logic! It isn't even a matter of coaching. It's basic consistency! If you sit one of your best players in tight games because you want him to be able to sustain a good game/ save his energy/ you just have to play Marcus Thornton then does it make sense that you play extended minutes in a blowout game, risking injury etc? Unless he always benches Evans for the sole reason of playing Marcus Thornton ... in which case tonight's decision would actually make logical sense.

Would you guys want Garcia to start in front of Salmons? At least with Garcia he'll space out the floor and not chuck the ball. Plus he'll give you defense

Yes if we can just use him coming off screens for shots or he just spots up for 3s. If he chucks random shots like he was in his first stint of this game then no.

Wonder what Jimmer fans will have to say after this game ... To be honest I'd rather have Jimmer pulling up for jumpshots than driving into the lane. He doesn't have the length or athleticism to finish inside over the bigs.

I'd say its a bad idea to put Jimmer in as the only offensive threat. I still think he's more productive than half of the players that are getting consistent minutes.

I don't know what the hell IT was doing running to the corner to the man Evans was already guarding (with time running down...). As a result Garcia had to momentarily switch to IT's man and left Carter open.

i saw this exactly how you saw it, i was confused as hell

Well I'm a Jimmer fan and I say his game tonight sucks! But in his defense, this may become to norm until he gets real playing time and a full opportunity to work with the starters. And yes, he needs to and can shoot from outside, even farther than he has since leaving college but I don't think he feels the freedom to do so. I don't think he would have tried those drives if this game was still in question.

for those of you asking why Thomas Robinson didn't get to play tonight, He decided to make a snarky bald joke towards me at practice #rookie

Being able to Coach and tweet during the game. Mad multitasking skills.

Another disturbing tweet
