Kings @ Lakers Game Thread

Refs decided the Kings would lose when they tossed Tyreke for NOTHING. That was a poorly officiated game as well. The Kings have had some poor officiating lately. Oh well, they needed to lose anyway.

Why do you always make stupid comments about the referees each game? It's boring and unoriginal. You have NO idea what Tyreke said to the ref. I guarantee you it wasn't pretty and he deserved to be tossed. Do you think he would calmly walk off the floor if the ref threw him out for no reason?

We've clinched a share of the 3rd worst record. Now we just need Warriors and Wizards to Wose tomorrow. (Wose is future tense of Woss right?)

Worst case, we get 1/2 of the 3-4-5 ping pong balls though. Much better than just the 5 share.

This also means we can't pick any worse than 9th :p

If that happens, I will have no choice but to hunt you down ;)

I thought it was we can't finish worse than 6th? 9th would be... *walks off cliff* lol

Well thank the refs it was total bologna......%$#%$^^%@$^%@%@# but the league may just want to help the kings to get a decent pick????????

Actually, they just want us to believe we have a chance at a decent pick. In reality we will probably get screwed by the lottery and get the 7th pick.

Well...when you've just been thrown out of the game I don't think it's a good idea to walk angrily off the floor whether you were ejected with or without good reason.

From what we saw, it was very quick. I think one technical would have been ok, but he got the second really quick considering he just turned around and said something. May have been warranted, but needless to say the ref had Reke on a very short leash.

Okay, let me give you a scenario in how it could have gone down:

Tryeke: "Call a ****ing foul ref"

Ref: T

Tyreke: "**** you man"

Ref: T, you're gone

He would deserve to get tossed if it was something like that. If the ref threw him for nothing, Tyreke wouldn't have just walked away. He knew he deserved it.

True, but do you really think Tyreke would have said **** you to the ref?

Sure. It happens. It might not have been FU but it was something really bad like that. It's almost like Tyreke wanted to get thrown. He obviously wants a top 4 pick to team up with next year. :)

Whether Tyreke deserved to get tossed so soon is debatable. But I can tell you without bias that kobe gets away with A LOT more on a regular basis. I'm in LA and I watch most lakers and clippers games. kobe has been in the top 5 for most technical fouls every yr for a while now. He would get after refs all the time for a longgggg time and the refs would actually walk away to avoid him instead of give him the second tech. Thats the problem with the NBA.

If it was Kobe or Lebron, no ejection, maybe not even a T. Can you imagine if Tyreke didn't achieve his 20-5-5 in time and then got ejected?

See you guys are missing the point. I know Kobe can be animated and doesn't get T's, but it's one thing to just whine a lot and another to tell a ref "**** Off" or something similar. Obviously that's what Tyreke did. If Kobe told a ref to **** off he would get T'ed or tossed as well. Guaranteed.

kobe does say "F this F that" and get away with it, frequently. The refs will give him 1 and start avoiding him. Sometimes u can hear it get picked up by the mics of the game. Those moments makes u jump out of your seat and yell "toss his axx out of the game.

The thing is that I don't care that we lose the game as long as we give a good fight and don't rollover. We did give them a run for it so its all good on that part.

Its just a pitiful way to end a yr by getting tossed. I mean Tyreke was probably frustrated by not being able to play in the first half because of the refs. As soon as he gets some momentum, they don't call an obvious foul. There is only so much a player or fan can take. True, he should've stayed calm and beat them as pay back. But he's a rookie so he'll learn from this. Hopefully Tyreke's hate for the lakers increases by a lot after this game.

"That" official who ejected Tyreke got BJax' all riled up back couple years when he was with New Orleans to the point that it really escalated as detailed in this snip...

HORNETS PLAYER FINED $20,000 -- The league fined New Orleans Hornets guard Bobby Jackson $20,000 yesterday for verbally abusing the officials and failing to the leave the court in a timely manner after he was ejected Saturday night. Jackson was ejected in the third quarter of the Hornets' 85-73 loss at Dallas on Saturday night when he was given two technical fouls. Jackson protested a foul call with 2:18 left in the quarter and had to be restrained by teammates from going after the referee Derek Richardson.

HOORAY! We took away their tacos!!! What a perfect night! :D

Sorry to burst your bubble and your "perfect night"...we all got tacos anyway, multiple ones! Everything at the TEAM LA store was 20% off too! Nobody got hurt and the playoffs start this weekend. What a perfect night! :D

If he was trying to get tossed to help us wose the game like the GENUIS baby Jesus of basketball that he is... then yes. I do.

I agree. I think that Reke looked at the scoreboard and realized that his continued participation could be the difference between Evan Turner and Cole Aldrich and thought "Forget this, I'm outta here." Genius, pure genius.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Jordan Farmar did get a hamstring strain and should miss some time...

Aww, my bubble was so pretty too...

On our last home game we got at least 25% off of anything in the team store, and I got two free bags of stuff (free JT jersey! Yay!). So: :p.

I hope what you are saying will become true because I have this really bad feeling once Kobe retires, somehow the Lakers would be able to pluck away our Superstar Evans from the Kings....:o

He's locked for 4 more seasons by that time the Lakers would be playing for the woss and lin while we play for the playoff.;)

That never happens. If it looked like it could happen, some team usually throws an allstar at them.

Already evaluated...he won't miss time. So...my bubble is intact. Thanks.

Lakers don't play for woss and lins...so no need to hope for that to happen.

He was gone from the Grizz a year before the trade, but some people fail to acknowledge that.

Some have said that Marc Gasol will be better than his brother... he's taller and bigger, numbers aren't that far off and he's 5 years younger!

Where was all the crying when McHale, still with Minn., handed over KG to his buddy Ainge in Boston?? When Ray Allen was given to Boston for Delonte West??
I don't remember anyone having a problem with that. (I didn't...that's the way it works.) Which one was a bigger difference maker??...the Lakers went to the playoffs the previous 2 years...the Celtics were last in the east, 2nd worst record in the entire league then went on to win the championship after the trade.

I don't know what Tyreke said, but I'm sure Kobe has gotten away with worse.

Just found this nifty little post. So if you call Kobe jumping up and down and screaming at the referees, or gesturing emphatically after a perceived no-call getting away with worse, well, then, you are correct.
