You just need to defend the three point line so Udoka is pressing Pau the last guy who will shhot the three and they leave Kobe with Sergio...My gosh.This was not a game for the lakers to win. Helping Kobe add to his resume a game winning shot that shouldn't have been there.

Slice it any way you want, Kings lost the game. Period. Lakers couldn't have won if Kings took care of business. They didn't.

If Kobe's foot was out of bounds, dont you think Westphal et al would have been up in arms?
 
how many games like this have we blown this year, gotta be in double digits now...:(
 
kobe was out of bounds... you can see the referees looking right at his feet and they ignore it....

also kobe shoulder blocked/ pushed sergio to the ground... the refs just turned the other way...

the the nba really wants the lakers to win at any cost, it is really sickening to watch....
 
"We need to learn how to win these games". Sorry Westphal, it isn't going to happen until we get a money making megastar on the team. Otherwise Stern won't even give this team a chance to win. Its like ****ing WWE out their.

That doesn't make it any less of a choke. Just because "Hey we wouldn't even be in those games last year" doesn't mean that they can choke away games and get a pass.

hence i stand by my opinion that they should give their rings back... if the kings can take it to them with out their key players they dont deserve those rings...

Yes, the call on JT was big time bailout BS. Brown just drove, JT backed off and Brown loss control and fell. The refs had to find a way to let the lakers stay in the game.

why are so many people so quick to blame the coach for this. if he didnt call a time out and there was a violation, you would have blamed him too for not calling a time out. there's no way he would have known hawes would break away.
 
My my, how far we've come! From worst team in the league to being "chokers" against the world champs??? Hahahaha. C'mon, this team of youngsters just took the Lakers to the limit in LA and gave them hell for the 2nd time in the last couple of weeks WITHOUT their two best players. :eek:

Oh yeah, and they had to have the help of the refs again! ;)

And Hawes was open because his defender saw the timeout call.

But that stuff is never called at the end of games. Right or wrong. Sergio went 10 ft in hte opposite direction. You can't allow yourself to get pushed completely out of the play like that.

look at the tape. It was a clear push. Kobe's arms are moving in Sergio's direction. A push can't be more clear than that. There is no such thing as "hardly a push" - is is push or it isn't a push and this clearly, clearly was a push. If it was Casspi instead of Kobe it would have been called and it would have been a good call
 
Kobe got away with several elbows tonight including the one to Sergio for the game winning 3. However, JT and Udoka making their FT's would have won the game for us. Both games against the Lakers were ours to win, and they were ours to lose.

It's impossible. We can't win, other than the occasional mercy game that the Stern decides to go easy on us.
