Kings @ Heat Game Thread

I found it very disgusting that the Kings didn't foul the Heat on that last play. A 6 point deficit with over 20 seconds to go is still a game. The Kings quit on the last play, and that disgusts me as a fan.

Well, that was not any fun at all.
When can we sign FA or make trades?
What coaches are going to be available?

I think they were doing what the coach told them to do. I am CONVINCED that his goal for the year was the lottery. Too bad that a low lottery draft pick is not much better than the the 14-20 pick.

Depends... The thing about the lottery is that technically you can wind up anywhere within the top 10. But if we make the playoffs then we have a set spot.

Ive really disliked the coaches rotations, but tonight was just rediculous, he was keeping players in that were just turning the ball over, get mike bibby out there, get Ron artest, his everybody plays method isnt workign very well, I can understand the offense 5 and the defense 5 and stuff like that, but when we were down in the 4th quarter he was keeping some of our key players on the bench, 2 minutes of rest isnt going to add much more spring in their step, they need to get out there to try to get score up. I think where we really lost was defensively, the heat's 3 point shooting was unbelievable but we need to contest the ball.

I kept getting distracted by this game and started switching the channel back and forth to an episodes of Friends.

Joey: It’s all a Moo point

Rachel: A Moo point?

Joey: Yes, a moo point, like a cow’s opinion—it doesn’t matter!

The Kings wins/loss record is a cow

Muss is pathetic. He cares more about the box score than the future of the young guys and getting them valuable experience. He could've given them the last 3 or 4 minutes. Instead the Heat were messing around with their young guys while keeping Shaq in and Muss used it as an excuse to make the score closer. But we were never in that game.

The problem tonight was that he kept our starters out when we still had a shot (in theory) at winning early int he fourth. He waited until it as too late before he put Ron, Mike, and the others back in the game. I am sure that he is a good assistant coach, but he is lost when it comes to actually managing a game.
I am not saying he lost the game for us. He just did nothing to help them win.

No, that's the sound of the hammer hitting the nail.:D

I still have 2 more nails in my pocket for the next two away games.:p

I'm not sure that you need them. If the 8th place Clips continue playing as they have for the first 4/5 of the season, then we will have to go 11-6 (65%) in our remaining games to make the playoffs.

It's not going to happen.

Wow, I understand we lost, which was expected - but no comments about Artest's quality game? He played hard and well basically the whole night (as usual). He's got the flow in his jumper back he's had since late December. The week out effected that, for sure.

Ahah, I wasn't the only one who wondered about that.

That's been bugging me all weekend. Not that we'd get lucky and win, but jeez... teams DO win down by 6 with almost 30 seconds left. At least teams that WANT to win do it.

That just ticked me off.
