[Game] Kings @ Heat 12/20/13 - 4:30 pm PST

"Heat official informs us that Ray Allen hasn't dunked twice in a game since Feb 10, 2011 vs. the Lakers."

Of course, what they're not telling you is that Allen is now in the locker room receiving oxygen treatments.

:p

...sigh...

Not exactly how I would have wanted them to end the half, but overall good effort.

2nd game in a row where Ben has started to let his shooting stroke come naturally and its paid dividends. Hopefully, this is him starting to turn the rookie wall

Cousins went out with a minute and a half left to avoid picking up a 3rd foul.
Kings are up by 2 points and the Heat go on an 8-0 run to close out the quarter.
*ouch*

Not to belabor a point but I'd like to not see Jimmer in the second half. If you don't play Ray then put MT out there with Rudy.

I need to see if I can find out how many teams have won a basketball game when they shot better from the three-point line than the free throw line.

I think that boat sailed a long time ago, and not just for you. I cannot think of one member of this forum who could even begin to justify giving Jimmer any more playing time at this point.

Are there any Miami fans on the forum?

Now, that's just mean. Unfortunately, it's probably also true.

I really and truly feel sorry for Jimmer. I think he was misused when he first came here and I think the best thing that could possibly happen to him would be a move to a totally new environment. Unfortunately, I don't know where he could go to rehab his career at this point.

I would suspect mainly because of lousy free throw shooting.
Well, I don't really know how to refine the search better, but I did a look up for games won by a team that shot .400 or better from three, and .500 or worse from the line, and I came up with those six in the last season, alone.

I just don't have any idea how it is that we let them dominate us on the boards.
That's inexcusable against this team.
Hopefully Cousins will step it up there.
It would also be great to see them work Cousins more in the post. I have no idea why that isn't a strategy that we decided not to employ in the 1st half.

Jimmer has had his moments of "not terrible" this year. His stint tonight was not one of them. Hopefully we'll try Ray Mc in the second half.

Up the FT percentage to .700?

Look I don't for a second think that teams are interested in Jimmer running the PG spot but maybe a team would take a look at him as a spot up 3 point shooting SG...which is where he could actually play ok. This PG thing makes it look like we ARE tanking.

These two things tend to go hand-in-hand.

How many times over the years have we seen our Kings play an incredible game, only to lose it because they suddenly forgot how to shoot FTs? This just gets sooooo aggravating. Regardless of any other part of the game, if we were hitting our FT's we'd be winning right now.

Up the FT percentage to .700?
The objective is to find games that a team won when they shot better from 3 than from the line: if I refine the search to include all wins where a team shot .700 or better from the line, I have to then posit an astronomically high 3pt percentage.

Darn. Missed a good opportunity there...but I'm certainly seeing what Malone is hoping to develop. IT to Rudy to DFC. Shake and repeat.

DFC needs to go inside like that a lot more...and try to dribble around an opposing guard a lot less. ;)
