[Game] Kings @ Hawks 2/22/13

I'm watching MT this quarter and it's really sad to see that (just like with every other player) we don't use him to our full advantage. He's such a good shooter and we just sit him on the outside to wait to get the ball given to him. How about running some plays and setting some screens and getting him to move to get open 3 point shots like teams do all the time against us?

Because that would require a coach.

Well, it was fun watching for 2.5 quarters tonight. That's about 1.5 more quarters than usual!

This team needs a major restructureing of its guards and a coach who can use Tyreke. People can do only what they can do so I don't blame IT. He shouldn't be a starter on this team. Or we should get rid of Tyreke but I think that would be very foolish. Let's wait for a new organmization as it is guaranteed the Maloofs and their stupidity is gone.

That or we trade Tyreke for a Tony Allen-like player and whatever else we can get out of the deal. If we're not going to use him offensively then trade him for an established defensive specialist. Don't take a guy who's used to having the ball in his hands and ask him to become a defensive role player.

LOL Grant and Jerry NO BALL MOVEMENT? There hasn't been any ball movement the whole ****ing game you morons. All there's been is chucking that's been going in.

Yea. This is where you see the two distinct groups on Kings Fans. The ones that don't mind the little ball movement as long as our gunners hit the shots, then the ones that hate the little ball movement, even when the gunners are making the shots. Relying on the chucking going in just isn't a good game plan.

Tyreke is garbage. Sorry. I said it. Lets just call it what it is. He's a poor shooter. He has no passion or leadership skills. He just plays street ball out there. Trade him please.

same story as most games. DeMarcus is the best player, Isaiah is good but shouldnt be a starter, Tyreke isnt even utilized by the coach, everyone else can go away

I didn't hear anything. I just want Jimmer on a different team.

I should clarify that I am a Jimmer fan so I want him traded to have a chance to play for a different team.

Different owners, different coach ...................................... should be different next year.

I'm willing to take you up on that. Let's see how he is this time next season. Now he may not end up an all-star or anything, but definitely good enough to be a valuable starter/ 3rd best kinda guy.

That's the problem with that type of offensive style. It looks good for 2 or 3 quarters and deceives people into thinking "Wow, this is a playoff type of offense." Then the 4th quarter comes and no one understands why we lost and how we gave up 122 points.

This is one problem with IT, although Reke hasn't been that good tonight. If he takes the ball out of Reke's hands and essentially makes this a two man attack, he and Cuz for three quarters, then he has to carry us home, along with Cuz. You can't just dominate the ball for three quarters, prevent others from getting a rhythm, then disappear completely in the 4th.

That's why a PG is charged with getting others going, not himself. You need others in the 4th. Unless you're Westbrook or Rose who can carry a team home, the main priority has to be to get others going.

Well what do you expect when you go from the primary ball handler to be told to go stand in the corner and shoot if you ever get the ball. IT is pretty much Reke jr. and if he's a poor shooter what does that make Thorton, Salmons, and IT when he's shooting better then them.

A huge part of any success we have is players going 1v1 and making tough shots, and when they're hot or based off sheer talent, it can work for stretches. But we don't have a system which regularly produces good looks. Eventually, the 1v1 play catches up to you, especially when the defense tightens in the 4th.
