Kings Have Signed John Salmons - Bye, Bye Bonzi!!

See ya Bonzi--go and sign with Indiana or another team, doesn't matter anymore cuz we got JOHN FREAKIN!!!!!!!SALMONS:mad:

It gets worse. Mike actually called Petrie out about the rebounding concerns, and what Petrie had to say makes me feel slightly ill.

He claimed that we need to get better "as a team." And that maybe we would make another move "down the road" if things get bad. That doesn't sound good. He said the Kings will be worse in rebounding but better in "other areas." I wonder if he really gets it???

OMFG can someone please just shoot me in the face now?

This is a good signing because Salmons can play the back up point something we need, he can break people down off the dribble, he is younger than Bonzi, and he can play the 1,2,3 spots. I like a young rotation at the 1,2,3 spots of Martin,Salmons,Douby,Garcia.

Worse in rebounding? ....ugh. And what "other areas" does Salmon make the team better as apposed to what Bonzi did?

We will end up being the joke in the league rebounding next year and as the team that gave up Bonzi effing Wells for John effing Salmons. Great move Petrie.

edited and quoted for truth.

Petrie, what the hell. I defended most of the things you've done till now, but this is utterly moronic. And that's my schtick.

Oh ouch. That's worst case not getting itness.

The only hope is once again trying to attribute it to the old tired Petrie tightlipped thing. But this is not the first time he's made similar comments. Whenever somebody in power starts suggesting that we jsut have to start doing more "as a team" in a certain area, you know they either do not get it, or can not see a way out of it.

Is that for sure? There is no way to work a sign and trade?

If they weren't willing to throw in a couple mil extra to keep Bonzi here, why are they going to then somehow reach a contract agreement with them, and then trade him. They still have to take on the money that they weren't willing to offer in the first place, top that off with the entire MLE just taken up by JOHN F'ING SALMONS and you get that there's no way the Maloofs are taking on that kind of salary. I mean, what do you expect, when it comes to free agents Donald Sterling forks out more than they do.

Indeed. And letting Bonzi walk for being irrational is one thing. But then signing Salmons and acting like the offseason is over and everything is going to be fine and dandy is another. Quite frankly, it's scary.

With this particular move, my excitement for next season just went down the toilet. Hopefully, there's something else in store.

This team at present will get killed on the boards next season.

Me as well, rather passionately. This can not be right! Can't imagine getting a better s&t with this guy than Bonzi. I see that Bonzi walked, we did not make him leave, we made a fair offer and he refused. But why waste the $$ on this guy??? Is GP really crazy??

I'll give Salmons the benefit of the doubt, but if he stinks it up next season, that gives us ANOTHER nasty contract we can't get rid of. We're sure collecting them these days.

Oh, and to add. He did confirm being very interested in bringing Songaila back. Likes the way he plays, thinks it fits to our style as a team.

Which is a bunch of soft shooters. He doesn't get it.

Why is Petrie getting blamed for this when this is clearly has Maloof fingure prints all over this. From what I am reading and what VF says that there will be no sign and trade that means that we did not want to get salary back. This is talent bleeding all over again because the Maloofs not Petrie did not want to spend money. The Maloofs lied yet again and we are blaming Petrie for this:mad:   . The Maloofs are the ones that did not want Bonzi back at market value. also people who said we could get better a SG on market then tell me who. I know people have mentioned Ariza but Orlando already said they would match any offer of MLe or lower.

I can't really defend too much about the move particularly if it really is the whole MLE. But Salmons is really not too bad, he's a pretty good defender at the 1-3 and can handle the ball a bit. You could call him a broke man's Doug Christie.

*claps* More overpriced movable pieces-

For anyone that cares-

Were going to costco to buy pitchforks, wood sticks, rags, kerosine, and matches.

The march to Arco is tomorrow at 2pm.......

Wow!

The Maloofs and GP just took a dump on Sacramento b4 they move to Anaheim
