[Game] Kings @ Grizzlies - 12/16/16 - 5PT/8ET

so no Rudy, Ben OR Casspi = really putting the otherwise strong wing depth to the test.

Be a very nice game for Afflalo to quit pouting and give us a game. An inspired Afflalo/Temple/Barnes trio at the 2/3 would still be enough, with a little Malachi help.
I was just gonna ask about Casspi

Hurt?

I'd absolutely love temple as a starter

Temple is playing fantastic defense night in and night out and is nearing the mid 40's for 3 pt percentage for they year. He can also handle the ball and initiate letting Collison be more agressive off the catch or spot up in the corners. Could it be that we signed a late bloomer and we are getting him for three years of prime 3 and D SG? He has shown more than an enough to warrant not only starting but playing 30+ minutes a night. You could argue he is on a hot streak shooting wise, but when I watch him shoot his form looks silky smoothe, no reason to believe he can't keep shooting at at least 40% for the season.

Bogdan and Malachi are SG too, so hopefully he's multi positioned

Or maybe Temple is earning the right to be the SG of this team until someone else develops enough to warrant that spot? Malachi projects as a volume scorer, something thats good to have off the bench. Temple is signed for three seasons, maybe we have found a nice all around SG that can start for three years? Why are fans so quick to pencil in 20 year olds as starters right away?

What about Bogdanovic?

Those are two of the teams best assets now

Safe to assume he's on the first flight out of here if another team calls for him.
What value does Afflalo have when Ben Mclemore is beating him out for minutes? I seriously doubt anyone trades for Afflalo. He could find a role if/when a Rudy trade comes about.

Oh I'm aware his value is pretty much nil. Just commenting on how he's pretty clearly out of the team's plans moving forward.

He looks interesting but he hasn't played one single NBA minute. Temple has played in the NBA for years and is producing right now and we have him signed for three seasons. Don't get me wrong I am intrigued by Bogdanovic but i also will hold any judgement until he is in a Kings uniform and we see him play against NBA players. Hey I would love if Bogdnanovic comes in and is more than what Temple is right now, because right now Garrett Temple is damn good by any standards. High tier perimeter defender with a handle that can shoot the three at very good clip that plays hard and is a smart basketball player is nothing to just scoff at.
