I will NOT vote for Mitch Richmond because, at the end, he had nothing good to say about us or the franchise. But that argument is for another day...and has been made repeatedly, like when his jersey was retired.
As far as Reggie Theus goes, he wore the same number Bobby Jackson sports now and there are a lot of similarities. Theus was an explosive guard, a free-wheeling scoring machine with the added bonus of having excellent passing skills. He was fun to watch and brought a lot of excitement to the team while he was here. He was very active in the community and was an excellent spokesman for the team when they first arrived. He was traded away for a first-round draft pick on Draft Day, 1988. With that pick, the Kings selected Ricky Berry. Berry played only one year for the Kings. He killed himself in August, 1989.
