I am loving that Kings are skating trough the regular season without anyone paying any attention to them.It sometimes feels like they don't exist when it comes to media.No drama, no pressure, no problem.People still think that Fox is the same player from years past when he was coached by some of the worst coaches in the league and was not put in a position to maximize his abilities.Or that Sabonis is an empty stats guys despite all the advanced numbers screaming otherwise.But the locker room is tight, guys are having fun so who cares about the talking heads on TV

This should also help the Kings come the playoffs! I'm hoping the other teams take the Kings lightly and the Kings stick it to them!
I'm hoping we hear light the beam chants in away arenas during the playoffs. That will be the ultimate victory. You might be able to bar a Kings fan from bringing a cowbell into the away arena but you can't silence our voices!

A big 3 isn't the same as a "superteam" though. The picture of the Heat of that era was a superteam. It depends on your personnel. Right now the best teams, or the contenders have one thing in common, a pretty clear designation of at least 2-3 players controlling the majority of their teams shot attempts. You don't see Jaylen Brown averaging nearly the same amount of shots per game as any players behind him. It's Tatum and Brown and then everybody else. The Bucks are a little more varied but that's partly because Giannis usually has such a high usage but it's still going to be Giannis, Holiday, and Middleton (prior to Middleton getting injured). This is why it's going to be interesting to see how Mike Brown starts prepping for the playoffs because as time has gone on Fox has seen an uptick in ball domination and at times so has Domas. Maybe this team will ultimately be completely one of a kind and yes, shooting trumping everything these last couple of playoffs does give hope, but in the playoffs having someone like Sabonis being one of your stars hovering around the same attempts as players like Huerter, Monk, Barnes, and Murray means you're probably doing what the defense wants you to and now it's up to players down your roster to basically not miss because they are only going to have 9-10 attempts per game which makes it all that much more difficult go on a tear.
That said with the new look Suns, a big 3 or maybe even a superteam just formed and once that happens the rules change. This little era of semi parity because the Nets were such a ****show may be over.

I love that man!
Yeah there were a few "Big 3" beginning with Boston and then the Miami group. But then the name started being handed out like candy. Most teams since the NBA expansion in the late 80s have been duos with some really super role players rounding out their casts.
I was mostly just posting that because it appeared Colin C (hack) stole Ryan's material.

Yeah thanks for posting it, it was pretty interesting because how this deadline may have changed everything said in the video, haha. That's the NBA though, one team or players can literally screw up the entire works one move at a time.

Yeah, that’s going to be a tough suit to win.
The general sense around here was that the Bee probably overstepped journalistic bounds in their articles on the subject...and then it appears they turned out to be wrong. So, sure, you can sue anybody for anything, but Richaun probably has a legitimate (as opposed to frivolous) case here.

If I remember correctly, the Bee covered this mostly through opinion pieces. I thought it was odd at the time that their sports desk didn’t touch it, but defending opinion articles is easier for them here, and they probably thought something like this might be coming in case the allegations didn’t hold.
I think you're right. But I suspect that simply marking a piece "opinion" doesn't shield you from libel laws. Again, not saying Richaun is going to win, but I don't think it's just a frivolous lawsuit.
That first opinion piece masquerading as news was way beyond the pale.
They were 100% opinion pieces, but they were written like news items. Also they conflated criminal court statistics (where female victims are highly unlikely to lie when they get to court) with family courts, where there's a lot of BS going on, and much of it is driven by lawyers who see the opportunity to drag cases out for years while they run up large bills. Especially when the complaining party will force the respondent to pay their fees in the result of a win.
Ask me how I know.
