[KINGS] Comments that don't warrant their own thread (Redux)

I had a pair of the original ones in high school and like them just for that reason. For me, the nostalgia level of that shoe design is pretty high.
It's like OG Chuck Taylors. They are murder on your feet and you aren't going to hoop in them but the design is timeless. Those OG Jordan 1s have never been matched. The more technical they get they uglier they get for me. But those, the original Converse Weapons, the Revolutions. Those were some shoes.

I think Jordan's came out when I was in 6th grade. They seemed like diamonds. Anyone who had them it seemed like you could see them coming a mile away. Those blue and black ones  Never owned a pair.

By sophomore year like 6 guys on my team had the IVs. I thought those were fugly. I had some all white Nike hightops, no idea the model.

Yeah, they weren't the greatest for me, either, but I didn't let that stop me. I sucked at basketball so I got cut every year (except freshman year where they didn't have to cut anyone). I certainly didn't play much basketball in them other than practices. I did use them for track (shot and discus - the "fat man" sports as they were called). There's a photo of me in my senior yearbook with REALLY bad discus form but the shoes look sweet, even in black and white. ;)

do not give a hoot about modern shoe technology when it comes to Jordans the Jordan I is the only Jordan for me.

sneaker investing and collecting can be a very lucrative investment approach. it explains why you have people camping outside stores to get an exclusive pair.

Hmmmm I’m confused this morning, was going to catch up on Fox has broken finger and I can’t seem to find that thread at all? Can someone tell me what to do or????

I bought a pair of the original red and black Jordan’s with my own money my freshman year in HS. I never heard the end of it from my dad, for spending $60 (IIRC) for a pair of shoes.

Wore those shoes out pretty hard. Then never ended up buying another pair of Jordan’s or super expensive basketball shoes again. I was a huge MJ fan at the time, but never a ”sneakerhead”.

Same here. :)

I thought they were like $80-100. I remember them being ridiculous and knew I'd never be able to afford a pair as a 6th grader.

Kings need to move the impact of the beam being lit inside the arena for fans.

The countdown is nice, but there should be lights, music, game highlights, etc.

Electric signs/lights BEAM IS LIT, purple strobe lights, etc.
Is there any reason why the Beam can't also shine down through the arena landing right on the center court logo?

Yeah but who wants to root for our no good dirty players? Fox having TWO kids in wedlock, Domas joining a religion to be closer to his wife, and who can forget big mouth Keegan?

Lots of love for Foxy around the league. And we know he bleeds purple.

Maybe he's finally the recruiter we need to become serious players on the free agent market

I wonder if Foxy has any ties to PJ Washington who is also a Kentucky alum..... Washington should be on Monte's short list for PF..... He's a floor spacer PF that blocks shots and plays good defense...... he's 6'7" or 6'8" but has a 7'3" wingspan.... He's still has a lot of upside at 24 years old..... If the Kings give him a big offer, maybe we can pry him away from Charlotte?
