Kings.com New Layout

all sites have to work within NBA.com's guidlines. the only site that does otherwise is the trailblazers.

you'd be surprised how many strings had to be pulled just to get this new site up.

It doesn't render correctly for me (not even close) using Firefox on either Windows or Linux, or Mozilla under Windows, or Opera under Windows.

So I guess it's fine if you use IE, but looks pretty dreadful otherwise.

it's not working for me either (mac)

i guess it had some problems, should be up by tomorrow

It'd be nice if they had an option for people who don't have broadband available. I got bored waiting.

And on a Mac running Safari it sucks. Big Time. Total mess. Bottom is even worse.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize the Kings only wanted fans from major metropolitan areas. My bad.

Seriously, though?

It is way too busy, with lots of flash. It took almost 5 minutes to load the first time. And it pretty much hijacked my Firefox while it was loading. I had to crash the browser to get the stupid thing to stop.

I'm not impressed. I'd rather see something a little more basic with options for the bells and whistles. As it is I'm not gonna be going back. It just isn't that good IMHO.

It loads allot quicker than the old one. It always bugged me we had one of the slower pages in the league. Go down the page here and click on a team; Standings - to compare to the other guys.

I think Phoenix has the best team page. Their player page is very cool... clicky.

It took about 20 seconds for the last Flash to load on mine, too, and I have 2M/sec DSL. I agree that there should be a lower bandwidth option. And I really don't like it any better than the old site. Some things are easier to find, but I didn't really want to read about Jack Daniels' sponsorship anyway. So I'm not impressed.

Once I reset Safari, the new KINGS.COM worked fine and I like it. Loads better/faster. First time I ever "reset" Safari but seems to have helped all the way 'round. Loaded really fast on my iPhone as well. Nice. Also great article on the Maloof Family on their site.
