Any McCants wishes for a pg need to go away now. He isn't looking to pass. EVER. But hey he is doing nicely.
Coach Natt making the right decision?....Think about what you just said.
I feel like a broken record here, but what does Donte need to do to get some playing time? We traded our best player for him, he is a super athletic 6'10 SF and were an 11 win team .. why is he on the bench?
I'm not knocking him on his hustle on the court and playing hard every second of the game. But, trying to penetrate between defenders isn't his game. He needs to slow the game down and work it around.I can only surmise you haven't watched Cisco all that often, or you'd know that what you see is what you get. Be careful what you wish for in wanting him to change.
Not exactly true. We traded Artest to Houston primarily to get rid of Artest. We were lucky enough to get Greene, who had been a disappointment in Houston, AND fan favorite Bobby Jackson back in return. One might argue that Jackson, as an expiring contract, was actually the better part of that trade...
But why visit this topic again when none of us are going to know the answer any better than the 4,135,264 other times it's been asked? There were some people asking the same thing about Kevin Martin his first year on the Kings, in case you weren't around then. My only thought is that they'll play him when they're ready.
I dont think Petrie is that bad of a GM to ONLY get Bjax in a trade for Artest. Expiring for Expiring makes no sense especially when your expiring is a legit player and arguably the best defender in the league.
Teams also dont just throw in a first round pick. If we didnt get Greene that would have been a horrible deal, and I think a lot of people would agree with me on that .. Also, how exactly was Greene a dissapoitment in Houston? all he did was dominate the summer league.
I appolagize for expressing something that I dont understand about this organization, because no one else here does that![]()
I'm wondering the same thing. There has to be something he's doing in practice to rub Natt the wrong way. In situations like this, what could putting Greene in and giving him some quality time hurt?I feel like a broken record here, but what does Donte need to do to get some playing time? We traded our best player for him, he is a super athletic 6'10 SF and were an 11 win team .. why is he on the bench?

SPENCER HAWES IS OUTREBOUNDING MARCUS CAMBY 14 - 13.
Someone needs to preserve that statement forever.
I want Greene to play as much as anybody. The answer is simple. He just isn't ready. Maybe after this offseason and summer leauge and in the rotation next year he may then be ready. But not yet.
We'll agree to disagree on pretty much everything here.
I think getting Jackson back was a MAJOR plus for the Kings. As a perennial fan favorite, I know of more than just a few fans who started going to games again because Bobby was back.
As far as Greene goes, it was rumored that Petrie had been interested in him on draft day so I'm sure he was part of the "lure" but I still maintain the main object wasn't what we'd get back but what we were sending away. We wanted to get rid of Artest...
But let's get back to the game. It's not very often we get to actually talk about the Kings while they're winning...
I'm liking Nocioni more and more and McCants is actually beginning to intrigue me. It appears he may have a lot more basketball acumen than what he's been given credit for.
