KINGS @ CLIPPERS, 20 Feb 2010 NOW SET

There are 26 SoCal KingsFans.com fans who will be attending the Kings game at the Clippers at Staples Arena on Saturday, 20 February at 7:30 pm. A total of 11 are from San Diego area and 15 from greater LA area and Orange County. From Riverside to Culver City and from Irvine to Edwards AFB, KingsFans ARE EVERYWHERE!!!

Anyone else is welcome to join our group but no guarantees of the special Group Pricing for our lower level seats.

We are now getting feedback from San Diego fans if we could rent a 12-passenger van for all of us to go in one group. THAT would be a blast. For everyone else and all Sacto area fans, be sure to watch that game on TV look for our group in the corner just past the Kings bench. We'll be the ones having a blast and letting everyone know the Kings have fans everywhere. We'll even have some cowbells (in case Phil Jackson shows up!! )

I pickup tickets on Thursday, 7 January and will select a venue in LA LIVE across the street from Staples Center as our base of KingsFans.com operations. Stay tuned. Hoo Rah!! BE THERE!!

We all will have T-shirts compliments of the Kings, all will have Bam Bams aka Thunder Sticks, a bunch of cow bells, pom poms, a big banner and bunch of interesting signs. According to Kings Media folk, the Kings TV crew will highlight us at some point during game for all the Sacto folks to see on live TV.

Oh yeah. The Clips are helping us to make a "High 5 Tunnel" of our whole crew for the Kings team to run through as they enter the floor for the game. Otherwise, not much...............

As bajaden pointed out, went up to Staples Center today and picked up the 26 tickets and took a first hand look at our seats. They are really good seat lower lever in corner nearest Kings/visitor bench. There are 4 more left in our two rows then it is up to chance if any more can be in our immediate area.

ALSO...... our meeting spot before the game to pickup your tickets, T-shirts, noisemakers and goodies is the ESPN ZONE directly across the street from Staples Center. Went there today to check it out. Great sports bar and restaurant.

Everyone must be there to get their tickets before 6:30pm

The Game starts at 7:30pm be we have to be in our seats by 7pm then we will be taken down into the tunnel and brought out to form our "High 5 Tunnel" for the Kings to run through as they enter the arena for the game. Is that cool or what?

Fortunately, they are all XL. We will pre-wash several in hot water to shrink them down to L but that is best we can do. You get what you pay for, eh?

At the time this was first started by CruzDude, there wasn't much interest in a Kings-Clippers game anywhere... If there was a trap, I think Dude is the one who set it and captured an excellent deal from the Clippers front office before they knew what they were getting into.

The nice looking young lady who did all the Clips work for us seemed so thrilled that anyone would want to buy a group of 25 or more to actually GO to a clippers game that she suggested the "High 5 Tunnel" in the first place. She will even see if their photographer will take some still photos of our group to send up to us and the Kings organization. They average about what the Kings average in attendance but Staples holds 19,000 for Clipper games and 20,000+ for Laker games so their attendance looks much smaller.

But VF21 also was kinda right too!!
