John Salmons and Shelden Williams for Desmond Mason and Charlie Villanueva
Why for Kings?
I would think the plan would be to move Ron and keep John, but if we get good value for John then I have no problem moving him as well. Mason is an expiring, and would add athleticism to the swing rotation along side Kevin and Cisco. Villanueva is soft (and would make a supersoft frontcourt pairing with Hawes) but is a much better prospect than Sheldon has turned out to be. He actually finished the season strong after Yi went down, averaging 25 and 9 in games he played more than 30 during Feb and March. Getting a solid future PF in Villanueva also opens the option of drafting a small forward if that's who is BPA.
Why for Bucks?
Bucks fans on realgm at least have expressed a strong interest in John, looking for solid defense and ballhandling from their 3 position (especially since Mo Williams is more of a shoot first PG). Villanueva asked out last season (he's going to be the back up there long term behind Yi) and they seem to be intrigued by getting a bruiser in Sheldon.
