Kings-Bucks

Fresno King

Starter
This worked in the good ol' trade machine:

KINGS GET:

SF Desmond Mason (2 years left on contract, makes 5 mil.)
PF Charlie Villanueva (2 years left on contract, makes 2.7 mil.)

BUCKS GET:

SF Ron Artest

MASON'S STATS:
7.9 ppg, 4 rpg, 2 apg

VILLANUEVA'S STATS:
9.5 ppg, 5 rpg

WHY THE KINGS DO IT: They get rid of the Artest migraine, and bring in a possible PF of the future in Villanueva, who is just 23 years old and 6"11". Mason is a seasoned veteran that won't play much. Possible buyout or trade bait with Bibby??

WHY THE BUCKS DO IT: Adding Artest to the Yi, Bogut and Redd trifecta could push them into the playoffs. The big question: can Milwaukee sign Ron to a long-term deal?

I've been tossing around a lot of Ron to Milwaukee ideas in my head, too. Seems natural, Villanueva is a young big that wants out, and fits the Petrie mold of finesse forwards. The Bucks, on the other hand, are still within striking distance and have their biggest hole at small forward and perimeter defense.

I could see Ron resigning there, I guess, if he wanted to go back to the Midwest. For the Kings, I'd try to dump KT or SAR if possible.
