[Game] Kings @ Bucks - 11/25/15 - 5 pm PST, 8 pm EST

I don't trust a word that comes out of Napear's mouth but, seriously, how quickly did some Kings Fans jump to the conclusion that Cousins instigated, and or got physical, neither of which were even corroborated by the initial reports in the first place?

The assumption that things got physical came from the report that they were shoving each other.

Well there you go - as the newer reports have said: just trash talk. Say what you want, just don't get into a physical altercation. Cousins didn't even play! It's not like it could have been something spilling over from the court. Hold your reaction long enough that your team mates get in the way or the other team restrains their man. That's typically what happens. I'm glad in this case nothing happened, but my point still stands, Cousins is usually involved whenever there's trouble. Doesn't necessarily mean he's the cause of the trouble.
Did you ever consider that maybe he's usually involved because other teams have decided that he's an easy mark? These days, all you have to do is start some **** in Cousins' general direction, and he's going to get blamed for it. That contributes in no small measure to how such narratives are allowed to perpetuate.

It's exactly what is going to work down the stretch of games if we have Cousins in there.

I don't mind using the post, but what the Kings are doing are dribbling the air out of the ball and feeding the post with less than 7 seconds to go on the shot clock. Its the prevent offense, leads to bad shots, and kills the offensive flow.

Didnt Cousins just give out a quote about how he let his team down with the Horford forearm, now this? You are a top 10 player!! Why are you getting into a shoving matches with other players, let alone a nobody like Bayless!! Just stupid judgement.

Relax man he didn't do anything wrong

Per Sean Cunninghham:

Told there was no contact between players in the tunnel, despite some reporting otherwise. Told it was trash talk, nothing more.

Two people have also told me that DeMarcus Cousins did nothing wrong after the game.

Is it just me or does the air feel a little thin up air? :D

As long as it kills the clock. Unfortunately the offensive flow we normally have is completely untenable for late game situations, because we are quick shooting it. Its high pace, high risk, and leads to big runs either way. Once you have the edge and need to squeeze out the win, you have to find a way to control things.

I can understand it if you're up with about 2 minutes to go. The Kings are doing it for damn near the entire fourth quarter.

That does not appear to be supported by statistics.

Um.

Stupid Bucks media trying to stir crap.

It's not just externally with other teams though, but internally with coaches as well, or with refs etc. I definitely agree that it's a perpetuated narrative, but it's also not one that is completely untrue. Teams have decided he's an easy mark because he is an easy mark. That's the whole point. And trust me, someday when it really matters (if it doesn't already), that narrative, however true, is going to hurt us big time.

Looks like Collison is calling some teammates over to calm Cousins down. Either way, not a good look. I know the tweets are saying Boog did nothing wrong but Collison certainly looks nervous. Doubt it ended up being a big deal.

Tonight was the real Darren Collison. He struggled since coming back from hamstring but tonight he found his rhythm and outside shot and used his speed to get where he wanted to go. I expect this level of play from him every night.

He's a better player than Marco and Ben. Rondo needs to be on floor 35-40 minutes which means a Rondo-Collison backcourt is here to stay....since Darren is a 25-30 MPG player.

The ball movement tonight was the best we have seen all season. Boogie can be part of this instead of interfering. When he starts making more selfless decisions and not forcing like he did against the Hornets, our team becomes an 110-115 PPG offensive machine.

For the grief Karl gets I think he makes the right decision not to play 2K and Willie too often together. Boogie and 2K can play together. Willie and Boogie can play together. I don't like Willie and 2K together because neither want to stray away from the basket. If and when Willie gets comfortable with a 15 foot shot this can change but having them on the floor together bogs down the offense.

Great win....probably the best of the season to get over collapse in Charlotte and give us momentum going into MIN and GSW. Happy Thanksgiving to all Kings fans. :)

You may be right. I've certainly gone on record with the fact that I don't personally like Cousins. I just don't have it in me to react to these stories with the same old, "Oh well, here he goes again..."

Yes. because quality > quantity.

A defense is judged by how many points it allows, and per possession statistics control for pace. Because ultimately it doesn't matter how many rebounds you get, if you give up points your defense is trash. It doesn't matter how inefficiently your opponent shoots the ball from the field, if you foul them and they put points on the board your defense is trash. It doesn't matter if your opponent is missing their threes, if they are putting points on the board by destroying you inside, your defense is trash.

The Bucks give up the most points for every possession they defend. Their defense is trash and the worst in the league

You know what else is a better indicator of your defense, and also allows for pace? Point differential. They're not last in that, either.

*Facepalm*

Point differential includes strength of offense as a measure of the overall strength of a team. Its offense minus defense.

You know what point differential uses to measure defense? Defensive rating.

Comcast picked a nice day to install my new cable. I see the usually suspects are eager to jump to conclusions and cast further aspirations based on unfounded/unsubstantiated data, but I am surprised no one mentioned the shot of Cuz and Rondo after the game. I am REALLY liking how that relationship is developing.

I watched the Bucks broadcast so I missed it. Pics? :)

Ever notice cousins always has dust ups with 190 lb point guards. But when 250 lb big men get in his face, he then takes the high road and is the better person i.e. Zach Randolph last year

he respects the hell out of Zach and says the MEM frontcourt is the toughest he's come against from a physcial perspective, says you feel the banging in the paint for days after. I wouldnt want to take on Z either.

Can't say I'm surprised with Cousins trying to storm off to have a chat with Mayo based on what happened between them when he was in Dallas. As long as it was a verbal altercation, I don't really care. You can't have a guy come up to you like right in your face and you just let it slide without letting him know that's not going to slide, without using physical altercation of course. I'm sure Cousins will have something ready for him if he plays the next time Milwaukee comes to Sacramento.
