[Game] Kings @ Bucks - 11/25/15 - 5 pm PST, 8 pm EST

The halfcourt defense was quite good in spots, especially the 4th. You will take any win you can get on the road and especially without Cuz.

I didn't see the whole game... turned it on midway through the 2nd quarter... and while I did see some good defense that resulted in made baskets (Kosta Koufos in particular was doing a solid job but Giannis somehow still found ways to put it in the basket), I also saw a lot of easy baskets that were the result of lack of focus.

The endless switching is still a problem I think. It makes it too easy on the offense. Just keep passing and wait for a mistake, which there usually was as the shot clock was winding down. They took a lot of open threes as usual, a better team would have made more of them. 28 fast break points is atrocious by any measure. But the huge problem was guys slipping into the paint and meeting minimal resistance. When a guard or wing drives past the first defender they need to run into a brick wall. Instead we've got guys tugging at their arms from behind and a late arriving help defender who's not quite in position to make a play. I'd call it "almost" defense. And "almost" defense is barely better than no defense at all.

Also we can't get a damned rebound. Rondo was our leading rebounder this game. Yes he's a good rebounder for a PG but come on! He's a PG! Show some pride big guys! (Oh that's right, they're all on the bench) Yes we had moments of good defense. Willie Cauley-Stein's impact when he was in the game was obvious. But as has become the routine, George Karl benched him early in the fourth quarter and we small-balled it for the rest of the game, holding our breath for what must be the most meaningless 10 point lead I can remember. At no point did I ever feel we were more than 30 seconds away from losing that lead as they kept getting layups and relatively uncontested jumpers right up until the final 30 seconds. There's a phrase that I think applies to this game: we won this battle, but in terms of what our overall performance needs to be to keep winning games we lost the war. And as far as the defense is concerned, we're not even anywhere close to winning that war.

I'm sure there's no chance that Bayless instigated the altercation.

Bayless could instigate it, doesn't mean Cousins has to react does it? Again, the question is - why is DeMarcus Cousins always involved? How come it's never Collison gets into altercation, or McLemore cusses at coach, or Gay goes and argues with team announcers at the end of the game? Or Omri getting suspended? He's a fiery passionate player too. Wherever there's trouble brewing in Kings land, you can bet DeMarcus Cousins won't be far away.

Couldnt agree more PurpleHaze
He has to be bigger than that. It takes a little something special inside someone to look beyond the moment and into the big picture.

just cuss the hell out of him, say whatever you want. but dont get into an altercation. The league hates anything physical and thats the point here, just avoid that.

the line is anything physical and short of holding a gun to your head, the players should avoid that, especially demarcus

Doug Christie in the tunnel AFTER defending himself with punch to Rich Fox is one thing. I think it was Vlade who restrained Christie and kept it from going totally out of control in the tunnel.

What I saw tonight as game concluded was some kind of jawing between Cuz and Bayless or Mayo or both. Cuz was not out of control but being restrained none the less by Collison and then one of Kings security guys moved into the picture as well. Seems to be little drama about nothing, hopefully.

Ever notice cousins always has dust ups with 190 lb point guards. But when 250 lb big men get in his face, he then takes the high road and is the better person i.e. Zach Randolph last year

I think he already had a technical in that instance

Usually because the little guys do the cheeky stuff

Randolph just elbowed him in the face and got called for the offensive foul

Didnt Cousins just give out a quote about how he let his team down with the Horford forearm, now this? You are a top 10 player!! Why are you getting into a shoving matches with other players, let alone a nobody like Bayless!! Just stupid judgement.

Demarcus call him whatever you want, cuss him out good, but god dam dont get involved in any physical confrontations.

You cant put yourself in that situation man. You're are grown ass man and this team needs you. We cant have you suspended etc acting a fool.

Two people have also told me that DeMarcus Cousins did nothing wrong after the game.

Jerryd Bayless you say?

In other news, Philly just choked away what would be their first win of the season. It could be worse everybody!

He keeps reminding everyone, that yes, he is indeed an idiot. The boorish behavior never ends....just can't help himself, despite all the class act examples around him.

If we ever do make it to the playoffs, odds are strong he does something really stupid in that emotional environment and gets suspended

If we won that game, odds are we lose this one. In other words, 7-9 would have been no forgone conclusion at all. Get better from the experience and move on
And how do you figure that? We shot lights out today, but we also let Milwaukee drop 118 on us

We were clearly are the better more talented team, evident by the nature of tonights game... Essentially the whole game consisted of us creating 8-10 point leads and then watching them shrink to 0.... At no point was Milwaukee really in control

Told there was no contact between players in the tunnel, despite some reporting otherwise. Told it was trash talk, nothing more.

Grant Napear ‏@GrantNapearshow 8m8 minutes ago
Let me make this clear. There was no contact in hallway between DMC and Bayless. Anyone saying otherwise is a liar!
I don't trust a word that comes out of Napear's mouth but, seriously, how quickly did some Kings Fans jump to the conclusion that Cousins instigated, and or got physical, neither of which were even corroborated by the initial reports in the first place?

I don't know, maybe you could tell me?

Out of curiosity, where is your line? How much provocation would you let yourself be subjected to without reacting?

Well there you go - as the newer reports have said: just trash talk. Say what you want, just don't get into a physical altercation. Cousins didn't even play! It's not like it could have been something spilling over from the court. Hold your reaction long enough that your team mates get in the way or the other team restrains their man. That's typically what happens. I'm glad in this case nothing happened, but my point still stands, Cousins is usually involved whenever there's trouble. Doesn't necessarily mean he's the cause of the trouble.
