Kings/Bobcats

Tyson Chandler is made out of glass and I'm still not sure how he'll play coming off of his injury. Plus he has quite the contract.

id do Diop for Noc

sorta helps our team and it looks like nobody is biting on Noc anyways...

atleast Diop would bring something to the table(10-18 mpg)

Chandler has one more year left on his contract at around 12 mil after this season. So its not a huge risk, he says with someone else's money, but he is a risk. He's spent most of the last two years on the bench. So he's certainly not a long term fix for anything.

I have no idea why anyone would want Diop. He's on his 9th year in the league. His career averages are 2.1 PPG and 3.8 RPG. Nocioni puts up better numbers. Plus he's owed $26,808,000.00 over the next four years. If he was a guy in his second or third year, I'd say, well maybe a change of scenery might make a difference. But this guy has been in the league for nine years, so I doubt he's suddenly going to turn into a great center.

I'd certainly take a chance on a healthy Chandler, but with his current history, I'll pass.

Any deal that moves Noc for a 2011 expiring or sooner gets an a-okay from me. Just as long as Martin, Evans, JT, Hawes, Casspi, Greene and our future 1st are not packaged with Noc.

So I say yes to the first deal and no to the 2nd.

I think Chandler could be worth the risk. He did provide solid rebounding and defense when he was in New Orleans, although he's been disappointing in Charlotte. But he's only 27, so I would like to see him on the Kings. Not sure if Charlotte would have any interest in taking Nocioni, though.

Unrealistic In my opinion. No way Bobcats do the first deal. As far as the second deal goes? Meh, not sure why either team does that. Are we that desperate for size?

Right now, the Bobcats have Diaw playing the four and not at a particularity high level. Nocioni may be a better fit under Brown. He can back up the 3 and 4.
Even Beno could be an option for them because Felton is a FA this year. He didn't get an extension when he could've because he wanted more than the mid-level they were offering. I don't see that changing much with a new CBA looming, and with his numbers slipping under Brown. Beno can be insurance if they can't re-sign Felton.

Due to the ownership issues going on with the Bobcats, it might be difficult to make a deal with them at this time. Also, playoff teams will be less likely to give up size. That said, I'd be interested in Chandler. Okafor gets more love here, but I don't think he'd be as good of a fit. Chandler has a shorter contract, and personality wise he looks like someone who can thrive with the young guys we have currently. At the minimum it won't be chemistry that holds him back.
