Chandler has one more year left on his contract at around 12 mil after this season. So its not a huge risk, he says with someone else's money, but he is a risk. He's spent most of the last two years on the bench. So he's certainly not a long term fix for anything.
I have no idea why anyone would want Diop. He's on his 9th year in the league. His career averages are 2.1 PPG and 3.8 RPG. Nocioni puts up better numbers. Plus he's owed $26,808,000.00 over the next four years. If he was a guy in his second or third year, I'd say, well maybe a change of scenery might make a difference. But this guy has been in the league for nine years, so I doubt he's suddenly going to turn into a great center.
I'd certainly take a chance on a healthy Chandler, but with his current history, I'll pass.
