Weak effort tonight? Sorry. I see it as a tremendous effort considering everything. The three returnees may have struggled, although Webber did get a triple-double, but that's to be expected. Better they shake the rust off tonight and be ready for Tuesday.

Woo hoo, best news I've heard all day: This is the last 4 games in 5 nights for the year!...(well I think that's what I've heard).

Tonight was a stange night. 3 players coming back, the team a little out of sync, BUT they only get outrebounded by 1, something like 30 assists to 10 (?) turnovers, missed only less than a handful of FT's, Mike Bibby going crazy and Webber with a triple double yet, they lose is a game in which they never led. I'll live with it. With those 3 pieces coming back and stuggling as much as they did from the field and still having a chance to win, its an 82 game season and 82 reasons not to get worked up win, lose or draw.

i just checked the schedule, you're right! :D this is the last 4 games in 5 nights situation for us.. and we only have 4 back-to-backs remanining.. :D

i didn't even notice this was a 4 games in 5 nights thing! if i had known that, i wouldn't have hoped much for this game..

Nice...4 back 2 backs remaining. That's good. These back 2 backs, I don't like! ;)

I knew this was the 4th game in 5 nights. Tough winning games on the 4th game.

Hey thats even better! Its really going to help a guy like Chris, maybe even Peja if this back thing lingers and really the Kings as a whole. Back-to-backs are a disservice to the game, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Webber had the worst triple double of all-time (if there is such a thing)
God! Enough already! Webb started slow, just like Peja and Cat but he definately was the only one able to shake it off. He had a great second half and before he fouled out he was carrying this team. I never want to hear that Webb shouldn't shoot late threes again, to many of them have gone in! Great triple double by Webb, not to mention 4 steals. You would expect the guys to be rusty and they were... but it took Webb less than a half to shake it off. Come on Heuge... he hasn't played in a week! Give him some props for god sakes!

Absolutely, especially if you are under 30!!!

Reina: Assists were 21-12 Kings, and only six turnovers.

Really? Are you sure?

::goes to check a box score::

EDIT: I've got 30 assists and 11 TO from NBA.com

I suggest you read Heuge's post again. I think he was saying that it wasn't a pretty triple-double and I have to agree. Heuge did say we outplayed them for three quarters after coming out rusty.

I've got Heuge's back on this one. Add in the fact he only gets to see the Kings once or twice a year live, and it's all understandable.

;)

27 and 16 for portland..

This is the second time this week I have been screwed by Yahoo! boxscores. Guess it's time to make the big switch, thanks LMM.

Kings were trying to fill the hole in the first quarter, but no luck today.
Hope they beat Suns at home!!

Bad first quarter but considering the circumstances?? I'd expect a little more love, but then again Chris is the only guy on the team that can get a triple double and get a backhanded compliment.

I was at the game, he wasn't playing very well, in the fourth I looked up at the scoreboard to notice he had a 3d. I was surprized, it didnt feel like one.

Props to the 3d, but it wasn't pretty.

Eh, compliments are a dime a dozen.

Web got the triple dub alright, but to tell you the truth, I was surprised to hear he had it myself.

Still, doesn't take away from his stat AT ALL. ;)

In actuallity, you guys may be arguing the same point. Webb DID look rusty, it WASN'T his best performance, yet he still posted a rare triple double.

Do we need a group hug?

I think the main thing is that he looked okay physically. Pedja looked okay, Cat looked like he needed a couple of more days rest IMHO.

Heuge? How did Pedja look to you? How was he moving? It seemed like he was out of view of the camera a LOT tonight.

You're preaching to the chior, I love CWebb and give him props often.
I know, I know, it's just he started 2/9 and after that shot 50% add to that 13 rebs, 10 assists and 4 steals and I'd say he shook the rust off pretty well. Thats all.

Well from my seats, he looked like an ant.

I'm curious about that as well. So much of what Peja does is off the ball, thus not caught on camera. How was he moving?
