I love that rudy didn't shy away from the question. He didn't throw IT under the bus per se, but by saying "he's young." we all knew what he was thinking.
I truly wish people would think about what they're saying. We traded FOR RUDY GAY, well aware of his $19 million contract for the coming year. We are not going to let him walk when he's showing exactly why PDA was willing to take a chance. I'm as sure as I am about anything that the Kings and Rudy will reach an amicable arrangement.

What does this mean? I get jumped on when I criticize IT by the predictable people and when he stinks I hold my tongue until now. He does not know how the run out a quarter or a game. It is a pg skill that doesn't show up in stats so what does he care? He got his 25 pts and it will be in the headlines. Damn it!! It wasn't that tough.

You'd think we lost the game, reading this game thread. IT sucked the last 4 minutes. He was good, although TO prone, the rest of the game. Might be on Malone for not giving him a breather in the 2nd half.
All things considered, a road win is very impressive with Cuz going 9-19, 5 TO's, 5 fouls, and then IT with a career high in TO's. Kudos to Rudy for picking up the slack

I'd just like to point out that after the Lakers lose to the Suns tonight, they will be looking up at us in the standings. Just a little icing on the cake.

Eh I don't know about that. This free agent class isn't as good as next year, if he keeps this up for the rest of the season, I could easily seeing him get something like 4 years 60M from a team, easy.

Gay could walk away, but I'd say it's very unlikely. He and Boogie are clearly building a partnership and I don't think it's too much to assume Gay likes, if not loves playing with Boogie.
They both appear to consider this their team and rightfully so.

Grant and jerry were hammering IT too.
He's only getting this much heat cause his mistakes were that glaring. He's our starting PG for crying out loud! He should be smart enough to understand when to hold the dam ball and run the clock down!
We came within a hair of losing this game. That would have been unbearable.

You've said this before, and my reply is the same: don't bet against it. The smart money is to take the long-term deal. Gay will be twenty-eight on Opening Night 2014, which means, chances are, he's only going to get one more big money multi-year deal.
A responsible agent will advise him that it's in his best interests to at least consider opting out of that last year, and signing a 6-yr deal at $14M per, rather than to take the option, risk having a bad year, and having to settle for four years at closer to $10-11M per.

That's because we took him out when Kevin Martin left the floor and he never returned in the 4th (when we had the 10-14 point lead).
