Alright people. Honestly I forgot there was a game today until I tuned into the radio a few minutes ago. Really busy so I don't really have time for a full write up today.

The less that's said about the game last night, the better. After the first quarter, it was 36 minutes of pure suck.

Good job Dalembert, way to end up on a poster.

Beno and the guards without hap successfully managed to neutralize our big advantage in the game last night: our own big men.

And Cousins only gets 26 minutes in a blowout with only two fouls while Carl "What's a Rebound?" Landry gets thirty? What the hell?

TDM: Entire Houston Rockets team. Kudos to Hill for the highlight of his career.
JHA: Everyone not named Cousins or Thompson (or maybe Jeter for that matter)
Mikki: Luther "Never saw a shot he didn't like" Head
SAR: Cisco.
WTF Moment: Chuck Hayes is the one big man in the NBA who Landry is bigger than and he still can't consistently snag a fraking rebound.

--- Tonight is the Hornets. Let's actually feed our big men this time. And by "Big Men" I mean Big Men not named Carl Landry.

I would love to see the offense go through cousins in the post at least 50% of the time. Love his passing out of double teams. More please.

This is another double digit loss. The Hornets really aren't that impressive of a team but their good enough to beat us down with Paul just dishing out dimes and West hitting shot after shot. JT is going to get called for tick tack fouls again because they just can, poor JT. He tries to play defense and put his hands up and move his feet yet they hardly reward his effort. We probably will see Cousins get the ball again down low in the first half and then completely abandon the thought of it in the second half, expect his minutes to be in the 24-27 min. range again, for whatever reason. I'll tune in and watch this game later on in the night until it gets out of hand.

Kings are in a major league funk right now. I dont know what the problem is to be honest. They have serviceable bigs in the middle to rebound and score, but the guards never seem to be able to feed the post players. Luther Head is absolute GARBAGE. He belongs in the D-League's D-League. His defense is pathetic, his ball handling is crappy, and his shot selection is just horrendous. WTF is he on the floor for? Beno is hot and cold. When they light a fire under his ***, he tends to put out a decent effort. But then some games he just coasts along not playing defense and popping up for a few jumpers here and there. He is not a valid point guard, because he cant run the offense worth a crap! Cisco seems to have lost his fire and athleticism. He really looks like he is just going thru the motions. He is supposed to be the team leader, but he is a terrible example to the young players on this team.

Jetter is a good change of pace guard that can push the ball up court, but he far too often finds himself in the front court all alone because his team mates are jogging back on offense. The whole team seems to lack hustle and determinations. JT has been playing hard as of late and he has earned more playing time. Have no idea what happened to Dalembert, but he seems to disappear at times. His offense is an ugly thing to watch. Landry is sick of being on the Kings. He plays without any focus or team mentality. If he gets the ball, he is gonna fire it up no matter how many people are guarding him. He has become the black hole of arco. Landry is turning into the new version of Kenny Thomas. He is undersized, and he is making up for that by not using his quickness and not going after any rebounds. Cousins is still learning the game. The Refs are on him every night, and they will be on him for the entire season. He just needs to play thru the bs and play his game. He needs to stop trying to draw charges because refs are not calling those calls his way. There are a lot of ego's on this team and GP and PW need to get into these kids heads and start making a difference. No one expects this Kings team to win the Western Conference, but they should be MUCH MORE competative than they have shown so far.

Tyreke's injury has made a major impact on the whole team. The can no longer rely on Tyreke to get that bucket that stops the bleeding or those final hoops to seal the deal. If he is hurt and it is effecting his play on the court, he should be resting. The team can lose just fine without him gimping up and down the court, I heard on the radio on the way home that he was warming up and it was a game time decision, I say make him sit for 5 games and see if he feels better after resting for a week. There is no use running him out there to just be mediocre. I think the Kings picked up another guard who is a slasher with an outside shot. Give that kid some run and see if he can play defense and score the ball. Kings need scorers who can play decent defense. The Kings team defense has looked WOEFUL at times. I see a lot of finger pointing, but when a guard is getting bet off the dribble every time in the half court like Beno does, he needs to start pointing the finger at himself! Casspi is a great set shooter who can hit a 3 when he is set up with a kickout pass. They need to use him as a perimeter SF who keeps moving and gets set to make that outside 3 when he gets the ball. At least he TRIES on defense, which is more than I can say about Donte Green.

Green is always looking o do too much and turns the ball over with dumb drives or bad shots. He needs to have his minutes limited and if he isn't playing defense or hitting his shots, he needs to ride the pine and be a cheerleader. Geoff Petire needs to do something to shake up the chemistry of this team. They have NO leader. They have no team camaraderie. They seem doomed to fail from the first jump ball to the last horn. They dont EXPECT to win. THAT is a MAJOR PROBLEM! Petrie needs to bring in a player that can fire this team up and get these young players moving in the right direction! I dont know who or how, but he better act fast because this ship is listing and is in danger of capsizing and sinking fast. I know people are down on Westfall, but look at what he has to work with?? There are NO allstars on this team. There are 2 possible potential future allstars, but that isnt going to happen over night.

Petrie needs to package some of these other puzzle pieces that dont quite fit and move them for an impact player who can come in and shake things up! This had better happen soon, or bringing people from the upper decks to the lower bowl to make the arena look full isn't going to work anymore because they wont even have enough people in the arena to do that! How long are the Maloofs going to let their product go down the tubes before they start demanding action? I know they trust Petrie, but he has to start making things happen. Good things that not only help the team now, but in the long term as well. There must be a disgruntled allstar caliber player somewhere who can come to Sacramento and make this young team competitive. Even as a renta player, a player like Carmelo would be the kind of spark the Kings team needs to start believing in themselves. WHAT are the KINGS FRONT OFFICE GOING TO DO ???

Phenomenal half of ball. I'm praying they don't get a sudden case of amnesia and forget what was successful when they come out for the 3rd.

One of the best halves of basket ball the Kings have played all year. All they need to do is keep up the energy and dont get sloppy. Tyreke is having a phenominal game and the Hornets have no answers for him. He is setting up all his teammates. Hope they can pull this one out!

Followed by a total meltdown in the second half. This team has just not got any shred of competative spirit or dedication to the cause of wining. Beno scores but sucks on defense and Luther Head is a D&^KHEAD ! Worst player on the team but Westfall just loves him! Gotta be some changes in this team to change their losing ways.

This team as a whole has taken on the personality of a talented yet somewhat lost rookie player. Make a ton of mistakes but at times can blow your mind with how well they play. I've noticed it a lot over the years with individuals (especially watching the Kings), but this is probably the first time I've seen it happen to dramatically to a whole team.
