[Game] Kings at Celtics 1/12/2011

Wow. 30 minutes to tip off and still no game thread. Tyreke is out. Pooh starting for him. Luckily, doesn't look like KG is suiting up for this one.

I'd rather not see Pooh chasing Ray Allen all night, he'll probly start on Rondo. But leaving Udrih to fight through picks all game against Ray Ray wont end well either.

The Celtics have had major rebounding issues with KG and Jermaine out. I'd like to see us go big and exploit that even further, but I guess we are going to give small ball another shot.

This is classic bad coaching. Instead of exploiting mismatches by playing to your strengths you constantly adjust to the other coaches moves. The Kings finally have size this year, but have repeatedly gone to small ball in games. Part of the problems is a lack of athleticism/speed in our bigger guys, but part of the problem is the coaching that seems unable to recognize how to use the young talent on this team. Disappointing.

When will Westphal start a full sized small forward so the other teams SF doesnt destory us every game? I like Garcia and what he brings. He should be getting plenty of minutes, but he isnt a full time small forward. He should be starting while Reke is out at the 2 with Casspi or Greene at the 3.

I wonder if he's in the doghouse for complaining behind the scenes about his lack of playing time. Wouldn't be surprised if that's the case.

Neither team playing great. Kings defense has been getting a good amount of deflections though. Pierce lit up Garcia early. Udrih playing well, and Landry getting to the line whenever he wants with Harangody guarding him. Westphal has been using some strange combinations of players, but that is no surprise.

I love Cisco, but he gets eaten up by full sized SF. As long as he is giving up tough looks and making them work, I guess that's all we can ask for. How's DMC doing?

I noticed our bigs are killing their bigs (statistically anyways). JT with 7 boards already!? All i see is Landry, JT and DMC constantly going to the line. Hopefully that bodes well for us.

You cannot have Pooh on the floor with Beno. It's a nightmare for those two on defense.

They're switching on every single screen instead of fighting through.

Bad on court communication. It would be no problem if Reke was in because he can hold his own against bigger players. When Pooh gets stuck with a big though, MOUSE IN THE HOUSE!! I hope with more experience, this team would get better in communicating with each other, especially on defense.
