Kings and Clips trade Artest, Bibby, Brand scenrio

Well here it is my first TDOS trade proposal. Striclty based on assumptions by the Clips. Assuming they still want to rid themselves of Maggette and get Artest and Assuming they realize that they aren't getting anywhere with their current roster maybe they want to go into a different direction.

Now this would leave us having to hit the FA market hard for a pg hopfully Mo Williams

The clips have expressed interest in Artest and Bibby maybe they can have both for their franchise player in Brand (of whom hasn't gotten them anywhere and appears to be nobody to build on)

Now i also worked this an a 3-way deal with Washington sending them Salmons or Magette for Etan Thomas not sure if we would want that or even if they would so I left it between us and the Clips.

UHM he is already paying the money. The contracts matchup except he is paying it to only 2 ppl in Brand and Maggette. They have to face facts. they are getting nowhere with Brand and they have been shopping Maggette for 2 years now wanting Artest.

Even if you changed out Maggette for Tim Thomas, I doubt the Clippers would ever consider it. But it is definitely wishful thinking. I'd trade ANYONE on the Kings for Brand...I'm a big fan.

I'd love it. Brand/Wade are my favorite "non-king" players.

It would be awesome if we could do that trade, but it's very unlikely. Bibby and Artest don't mesh well on our team...why would another team want both of them and also SAR...we aren't exactly a very cohesive unit and that's 3 out of 5 starters...at least they were on our team.

I wouold take it as a given that the one guy the Clips will not trade is Elton Brand. Now we might be abel to trade either Bobby or Artest to them, but not both. And not in return for Brand. Indeed, Brand's desire for Artest adn ehir need for a PG to play pick and roll with him is precisely why they might be interested in the first place.

And as an aside I should note: Elton isn;t really that great. Very good to be sure. But what? One playoff appearance? How many All Star games? He's small, solid, rugged, works hard etc., but he's barely at the level to lead his team into the playoffs, let alone actually get anywhere once he does.

And if it did, while I like Brand as a player, I'm not convinced that he's what we're looking for. Better than what we've got currently at the position, but major difference maker? Not so much.

The clippers will not trade Brand, really I think that they are one player away. This is a team that i think a Vince Carter would do really well on.

Looks like Clippers are building around Brand. Bibby and Artest would probably compliment him. Likely, they will not trade. And somehow, Brand reminds me of Garnett; good efficient players that can't get it done.
