Well it's official that the T-Wolves are shopping KG. Is he still worth going after? He only has 2 years left on his contract.

he declined going to Boston even though he doesn't have a no trade clause. why does he have this leverage? because he can opt out next year which would've done them no good. so, he'd probably do the same thing if he were gonna be coming here.
so i say we trade for him anyway, as long as we can keep Kevin, and then have $20+ million coming off the books next offseason
this is all assuming they'd wanna dump him for and combo of Bibby, Artest, Miller, KT, or SAR

The KG idea is no longer as yummy to me as it once was. The hole in our bucket has officially become large enough that even an atheletic 7' former-MVP would still constitute a hasty patch job.
the KG window has closed for sac.
why the hell would KG agree to getting traded here? Basically, the kings are one KG-type player away from being.... the Twolves with KG. Two years ago(or POSSIBLY even last offseason), the Kings could've conceivably convinced KG that they were one KG away from being contenders. Now.... uh.... not so much.
my point was that he doesnt have the power to nix a trade. he can just remind us that he'll opt out if he's traded to us, in which case we say "OK!!!" and have $22 million come off the books next yearno way. he'd say negative to that trade alsolets be realistic here. KG and sac is no good anyway. He doesn't do anything for us except keep us in mediocrity. This will only slow our rebuilding process. as someone said before, just pull the damn band aid off instead of peeling it already.
