Kevin's value

I think TheJoker was actually saying he wouldn't trade him for anything less than Redd. Which is dubious, but whatever.

Now if Michael Redd WERE available for Kevin, you would be beyond nuts not to swing that deal. Of course that's a completely moot point because The Bucks aren't nuts either.

But he's not available. And the comment "the fans and the organization are in live (sic) with Kevin" made it sound to me as though the esteemed member didn't think very highly of Kevin.

Not that it matters. He's not going anywhere for the foreseeable future.

VF, i'm high on Kevin but i also know if there is a right deal you have to swing it but at this point i have no intention of hoping Kevin gets traded hes here to stay :)

Well of course we pull the trigger on the right deal.

Sorry, I just get a little crazy over some of these trade proposals that are so far out of the realm of possibility they're into the "Who would win - Aquaman or the Incredible Hulk?" category.

:p

I don't think fans are in denial at all.

I think Kevin has a lot of potential and it's nice to have a youngster to be excited about.

Having said that, Milwaukee would be insane to give up Michael Redd for someone who might, if everything goes well, be as good as Redd is now at some point in the hopefully near future.

There is no doubt it's out of question about the proposal deal however the Bucks did trade for a Young player in Charlie V so maybe it's possible the problem is i think we value Kevin more then any other team does so Kevin still needs to prove himself.

He's had ONE real year of play. I think he's proven he's NBA material. What he needs to do now, and I'm confident he has every intention of doing, is expanding his game and proving he deserves to START.

Don't underestimate him.

I'm predicting he will average 14 - 4 - 5 next season which will possible put him in the MIP category.

If that 5 is assists, that's just not going to happen. As far as I know, he never even averaged 2 assists in college. Averaged less than two last year as a starter. Magic Martin he's not.

If anything, more likely to improve his scoring by 4 pts or so than his assists by 4.

As an aside, 14pts etc. isn't likely to earn him MIP votes because that's what he put up this year as a starter.

I don't really bother with what stats Kevin will get, I just hope he uses what he's got and can make a difference night in and night out like I know he can. His athletic skill will be on display for the whole world to see. I have been looking at some games from last season when Bonzi was out and even more when Bonzi came in behind Kevin and I am very excited about next year! Nobody can hang with his first step.

Do u guys think other teams would want k-mart, obviously he had a good year, much better than his rookie season. But are we the only ones high on him, or would he have value to other teams. Im sure hakim warrick is loved in memphis and granger in indiana, etc.
so do u guys think k-mart will live up to some of the hype hes receiving, or are we the only fans who think he's going places.
Not that i want to, but would other teams trade a decent big for k-mart?
I think Kevin Martin has good value, but maybe if we wait another season, he will improve more and boost his value. The guy can play.
