A deal I saw that I liked :
Sac sends : Jason Thompson, Derrick Williams, 2015 2nd round pick, 3.1 million TPE
Sac gets : Josh Smith, Quincy Pondexter
Detroit sends : Josh Smith
Detroit gets : Derrick Williams, Tayshaun Prince
Memphis sends : Tayshaun Prince, Quincy Pondexter
Memphis gets : Jason Thompson, 2015 2nd round pick, 3.1 million TPE.
We get to dump JT longterm deal and net Josh Smith in hopes he turns it around, aswell as a solid SF backup in Pondexter who's a 3&D type role player we need at minimal cost due to him coming off injury.
Detroit gets to dump Smith for expirings only, which I think is a major coup for them (not having to take JT)
Memphis bolster their bigs rotation with JT to come off the bench with Jon Leuer as the only option as it stands, and gets out of Pondexter's deal having just signed Carter, with Allen and Lee already on the roster - while gaining a 2nd round pick and some TPE.
